Whether the Twins go 6-0 or 0-6 in the next 6 games is entirely inconsequential to the question of new management.
Completely, totally, 100% not important.
6 game stretches are not good measuring sticks in MLB.
That core of that Baltimore team kept our MN Twins out of the World Series in both 1969 and 1970. The new ALCS was a best of 5 and the Orioles swept the Twins 3-0 both years. Not naming names but a certain someone was crushed.
Many of those same Orioles formed the team that created what I consider baseball's best trivia question:
What winning World Series team scored more runs in the 1st inning of game 1 than the losing team scored in the entire Series?
That makes no sense to me.
Neither are pending free agents. Each are above average performers. Well above. The kinds of assets needed to win. Tough to replace. Each can be traded in a year or two if the team still sucks.
Trade away parts that won't be around to help the next good Twins team. Trade away parts that aren't likely future assets.
