  1. Can we not say "oppo taco?" I've heard that defined on Twins radio broadcasts over mlb about 80000 times this summer. Also Mike Piazza about 75000 times.
  2. Rocco: "Kiersey, youre in the lineup tonight!" Kiersey: "Wow, thats great skip! I appreciate that! Hitting 8th?" Rocco: "No....i got you in the 9 hole." Kiesey; /blink blink/ "....after Vazquez??"
  3. Its possible Bader had a scheduled-in-January day off. We know Rocco can't go against those.
  4. Just gonna leave this here and see how many figure it out. Got it from my daughter. I'm so proud of her! No spoilers please. A simple "got it" will suffice.
  5. "Finish the job there, sweep the lowly Nationals at home over the weekend, and the Twins would be back above the .500 mark as we speak, ruling out any notion of a sell-off as we head into deadline week" Really? I hope to hell nobody in a Twins leadershio position thinks the Twins are one half of one week from contending. Or would be in any position to BUY, ferpetesakes. Because they are not. Preparing for 2026 and beyond should be a long forgone certainty regardless of Jax most recent throw up and a weekend series with the Nats. Geez.
  6. Yes, poor Rocco. He cant possibly be expected to have his team play something better than "uncrisp" against the talent laden Washington Nationals.
  7. And J R Murphy gave the Twins 26 games with a ,413 OPS. Thats it. Never held a job for a full season in MLB after that 1 Twins season either. That trade was a massive talent misjudgement. And massive is too weak an adjective but I can't think of a stronger one right now.
  8. The problem rests with me. I made a poor decision with that post and I apologize. Sincere thanks to you and all the game recap authors who do a great job and add a lot to this site.
  9. While I'm on a rant, fun fact: It's July 26 and Matt Wallner has driven in 9 baserunners this season. Nine.
  10. As to this game, in a season filled with lowlights, tonight is a contender for lowest. Dismal ABs, clownish defense, all the energy and enthusiasm of a wake,
  11. "Parker unfortuneately also looked like an All-Star through the opening two frames, facing the minimum thanks to his fellow All-Star Byron Buxton and his amazing glove." Huh?
  12. One of the things I like about you Van, is youre always looking for the silver lining.
  13. Already awarded "winner" for tonight but gonna give this one an honorable mention nod
  14. In a season with lots of lowlights, this one is a contender for lowest.
  15. I dont think that's an issue. Tonkin is roster filler.
