  1. I'm watching the Dbacks broadcast and they're gushing. edit: about Buxton, I mean.
  2. moi?? I never make bad jokes or corny puns.
  3. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah BUXTON!
  4. "Let's eat, Grandma!" "Let's eat Grandma!" Punctuation saves lives.
  5. Just sit on a first pitch curve on this guy and you can hit .600 off him.
  6. I don't know...I kinda like the dark gray AZ road's.
  7. In my opinion it's the "the Twins might consider trading Santana" ship that sailed. He'll be here next year. And quite honestly he should be.
  8. As I recall it, Chief traditionally posts "winnah" after, uh, a win. Somehow, someone naturally took that a step further to "chicken dinner." And the rest is history.
  9. You could see on TV Buxton wasn't calling the ball. And he needs to call it, to avoid just what happened. Basic baseball stuff, for some reason Buxton didn't do.
  10. That's completely unfair. Lots of managers find a way to limit their LOOGYs exposure to RH hitters in high leverage situations. You've never seen a team have more than one reliever up in the pen? Make more than one pitching change in an inning?
  11. Jim...he used a Pressly that night anyway.
  12. Seriously? You're better than this, Jim. He doesn't have great options, but that doesn't excuse not using the ones he has in the best possible manner. In fact, just the opposite. He needs to try to squeeze every ounce out of what few options he has. I won't fault him for Pressly not getting a job done, if Pressly is the best option. Boshers wasn't.
  13. It was 3-1 Jim, in a fairly important game. With a pen coming off an off day. That's a bad move.
  14. Call me crazy, but I don't consider "failure to look two hitters ahead" to be a compelling defense. I don't remember if there was a RHer warmed or not, but either way it's no excuse for Boshers giving up a 3 run jack. And I DO know there was at least one RHer available, because Pressly pitched later that night. In an 8-1 game, which is another point not in Molitors favor.
  15. And he ended up using Pressly anyway. Only it was in an 8-1 game, in the 9th, instead of a 3-1 game, in the 7th.
  16. The second WC really changes nothing, except making it harder for WC teams. The two WCs now have to play an elimination game just to get to where the one WC used to get automatically. And now that team might not have its best starter.

  18. He won't get one out with a RHer when it's 3-1, but at 7-1, with two out in the 9th, THEN he needs to burn Pressly. I don't get it.
  19. Another really...questionable job of managing a bullpen tonight. Pulls Busenitz to let Boshers face two LHers (which I can understand), then after Boshers retires neither of the LHers, lets Boshers give up a 3 run jack to a RH hitter. Terrible. If you're pulling Busenitz to get through the inning, then there is no way Boshers faces a RH hitter with 2 on. No. Way.
  20. I sat here shaking my head...he's not really gonna let Boshers face another hitter here...a RH hitter at that...is he?
