    After an excruciating hour on the phone with a helpful MLBTV rep from Bangalore or Delhi or Calcutta, we were able to restore the TwinsTV service I bought and paid for. Perhaps they were just trying to save me from watching Abel.

    So some of you know I like to stop off pretty often at this little neighborhood bar for a beer or two. I noticed this fellow, Irish I believe, would come in every day and order two shots. He'd sit quietly for a few seconds after the shots came, and then down both. I got curious so I asked him what was the deal? "Well," he said. "Me brother is back in Ireland and I miss the lad terribly, so each day I have a shot for him, and one for me. Helps me remember." I thought that was pretty neat, and it went on for quite some time, until yesterday. He walked in, ordered only 1 shot, sat quietly for twice the normal time, then downed the single shot. "Friend," I said, almost afraid to ask. "Did something happen to your brother?" "Oh no" he said, but very Somber. "Im afraid my doctor said I haffta give up drinkin"

    Not for nothing, but thanks for taking on the thankless game thread start task. It used to be a little more involved, but having done some of this work in the past, I know it can be tiresome.

    Just implement it MLBPA can get on board or go away. If the union is neutered so much the better. Start the 2027 season on time with whatever players show up. The current MLB players will tuck their tails between their legs and report within a month. $800K minimum wage jobs are tough to find.

    "Will the Twins have a payroll over or under $100 million in 2026?: This seems like an easy one: Yes.

    The Twins won't be offering a "streaming" package in 2026. It's called a "steaming" package.

    As an optimist i prefer to look at this as a renewed opportunity to ink "The Luke Abides" to a team friendly lifetime contract.

    We should get TK to have a sit down with about 6 or 7 current Twins, IYAM.

    Who is trading a legit MLB middle of the order bat for either one? A team trading for Ryan or Lopez expects to contend in 2026, and they're not removing a key piece of their offense. And that ignores the very real question of Lopez,'s worth in a trade. IF he comes back and gets 4-5 starts, proves himself healthy and really good, then yeah. He'd be a valuable trade piece. Short of all three of those things, his value starts dropping off pretty quick. In any case, the return would be prospects. How close to the big leagues is certainly debatable. But they won't be traded for established big leaguers. And absolutely not a "middle of the order bat." Trading one or both of Lopez/Ryan pushes back any chance of contending, rather than speeds it up.

    Great. Just fan*******tastic. I'm among the last dinosaurs on earth to finally make the switch to streaming, I chose YoutubeTV, and now you're telling me whatever this ESPN thing is, it isnt on YoutubeTV. ****. *** **** it. ***********s. **** em.

    The A's and the Twins are currently not even close to being in the same level.

    They'd almost have to closer than I think but that still puts them miles from contention.
