  1. I actually am pretty optimistic there will be a new manager in 2026. There are undeniable issues in the clubhouse, undeniably poor fundamentals, running hard out of the box is somehow "radically new strategy," and the team is way below .500 for the past year. I might be in the minority, but I think he's a dead man walking.
  2. To come in to a thread you profess you don't want to read and scold us for reading it?
  3. You make good points, but you lose me here. I bet I can find 1 million* articles by the saber crowd that will argue strategy based on run expectancy charts. 1 billion articles damning sac bunting no matter the situation. 15 years ago everyone worshipped at the alter of OBP. The goal is "dont make outs." SLG is overrated. It was literally the whole point of Moneyball. Today? "Swing hard, baby!" There are rigid Dogmatists on both sides. And I dont think it unreasonable to question the Twins rigid adherence to certain saber friendly concepts *If I've told you once, I've told you a zillion times, dont exaggerate.
  4. Agree 100%, @Nick Nelson. Been living and dying Twins baseball since the early 60s. This sucks. This team is a joke.
  5. Yes. Keaschall was born in Watsonville CA. ...
  6. There's low hanging fruit about pitching like a #2 ... pencil.. but I won't
  7. France surrenders with barely a fight. Weird.
  8. You would think, but no. Not a "ball in play" somehow.
  9. You've skipped rocks across lakes? I'm skeptical.
  10. The Sox have some interesting young talent. Need pitching.
  11. Fun fact: Clement is from a family of nine boys that grew up playing ball together in Darling, OK. They were known around the state as The Darling Clement Nine.
  12. Technically it's the trail runner's responsibility to make sure the lead runner goes. But it's hard for me to fault Julien for thinking "its a ball to the backdrop, FFS. Go already. "
  13. 100 percent on the baserunner. That has to be read by the runner. The only time a 3rd base coach comes into play is when a ball in play is behind a baserunner and he can't tell if he has time to score. Baserunners make most decisions in real time on their own
