  1. Random, non-baseball thought while wandering through the Farmers' Market this morning: Do farmers need accountants to N-cumber their Q-cumbers?
  2. Lose-able game in the win column. That's how championships are won!
  3. There's a reason why his name isn't Mar-lose...
  4. Just making us appreciate #7 on his night...
  5. Good inning for May. Who's next? (June, perhaps?)
  6. #7 would have made that play .....
  7. Do you think Adrianza ever had a fantasy in which he was intentionally walked???
  8. Not polite for Cron to interrupt the lady!
  9. Another (not very timely) way of putting this is "Could we have found a place for #7 in this lineup?"
  10. Weather map looks like lots of rain. Are they under cover?
  11. I wonder if Molitor will be involved, or if the wounds are too fresh? (Not that he isn't making a nice salary for not managing the Twins.)
  12. To change the subject slightly (or perhaps to return to the original topic), isn't it next year that rosters expand to 26? If that's the case, then every team will have an extra slot on the MLB roster to "stash" a Rule V pick. It seems like that would make it more likely that a marginal player would be selected, no?
  13. I guess this means that his manager won't be able to fill in the Blank on the lineup card.
  14. In English football, games like this are called "banana skins." Opportunities for heavily favored teams to slip up. Let's hope that the Twins can keep the focus on taters rather than bananas and that Gibson doesn't throw a lemon.
  15. But Rochester wasn't working for him either. If he needs confidence, maybe a short vacation in Pensacola or even Ft. Myers would be useful. Let him have 5-10 appearances down there and see if he can get the ball in the strike zone, keep it in the park, and start to find a groove. If so, then bring him back to Rochester and see if he can keep it going. Then, maybe, back to the Twins. Remember, this guy was at the top of our prospect charts a couple of years ago. He's not a Rochester-shuttle/AAAA-filler player. If we are going to realize benefit from this asset, we really need to groom him for the long term.
  16. If Tommy Milone is pitching for the Mariners, he has got a amazing tan and changed dominant arms...
  17. On the farm, Thorpe has five shutout innings with 9 Ks and 1 hit/2 BB for the Wed Rings. They lead 1-0 on a homerun by El Tortoiso. ?
  18. If Sano played for the Tigers, they would have to put an Old English K on the front of the shirt.
  19. Seems like this is the next test for Wes Johnson Can he help the pitcher adjust to the league's adjustment to him?
  20. Especially with Cron and Garver on the bench...
  21. FWIW, I think I could strike out Stevie Wonder (assuming I could find the strike zone).
  22. Off to "celebrate" my aunt-in-law's 95th birthday. She doesn't know what's happening or recognize anyone, but it makes my wife feel better ... Bring home the win, everyone!
