  1. Had to lookup what exactly a balk was. "In baseball, a pitcher can commit a number of illegal movements that constitute a balk." Jezzz, sorry I asked. And, feel better, Anibal....
  2. Long may they wave: http://media.impericon.com/media/catalog/product/cache/2/image/17f82f742ffe127f42dca9de82fb58b1/u/r/urbanclassics_basic_grey_sweatpants_side_lg.jpg
  3. ZUBAZ !! http://gronknation.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/zubaz-portfolio-6-pairs.jpg
  4. Maybe I'm reading you wrong Parker, but I don't think Bert is talking about power. I believe Bert is talking about "directional mechanics". [yeah, I just made that up :-) ] We used to call it, "lunging towards the plate". Step back, square-up shoulders to the plate [sort of], then "power towards the plate". That's the type of pitcher Berrios appears to be. But one size does NOT fit all. Remember Tiant and Holtzman? Anyway, a pitchers delivery is about consistency. And the Twins have a good amount of pitchers that need work at that.
  5. "First, I'll say that there is no doubt that Neil Allen knows more about pitching than I'll ever know." You've said a mouthful, baby! I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Walking 236 batters through 527.1 innings is a good thing? Santiago's reduction in fastball speed and accuracy couldn't be due to the fact that he and Allen are working on his breaking stuff, therefore Santiago is using the fastball more? Overexposure of a middling pitch? You're using "perhaps" and "probably" a lot. I still think it was a good trade. Nolasco is closer to "never was" than "serviceable" in my book. Really too bad about Meyer. With the work that is ongoing with Berrios and Duffey, Santiago is another addition to the list of Twins that are still a work in progress. At 28, you would have liked Santiago to be further along than what we've seen. Many "works in progress" on this team now and in the near future. Stay the course with Allen.
  6. Hey hey, right back at ya At this point, I'm guessing everyone knows what the Twins record is like. This season is now about developing MiLB players into MLB players. Polanco, Kepler, Sano, Centeno and Berrios were all in the lineup last night and have been frequently. In August, the Twins are 9 - 9, if my counting is correct. Are the still getting their collective butts kicked by the usual suspects? Yup. Have the Twins been kicking around a couple teams? Sort of. And how about Cole Hamels? Twins love them some Hamels! Fix the defense, find some pitching talent from wherever, and this could be a pretty decent team. I know, I know. Couldn't be worse

  11. or teams have developed a pretty good book on Kepler...
  12. Interesting sequence of pitches. Lot's of breaking balls.

  14. DOZIER again and again..... http://cdn.funcheap.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/fireworks21.jpg
  15. "Twins pitching coach Neil Allen told me yesterday that Berrios has some mechanical things he needs to address during the offseason but, for now, they will try to make minor adjustments to during the final weeks of the regular season." Get used to it... sorry......
  16. Carry on? http://cdn1.theweek.co.uk/sites/theweek/files/styles/16x8_748/public/2015/06/150610-luggage.jpg?itok=KzPjePWA
  17. Neil Allen out again. This is the game plan for Berrios and Duffey. Frequent visits to the mound. Edit: Oh **** walked in a run on 4 pitches.
