  1. Yeah, they would have swung and miss... ...
  2. Hey, looks like Dozier's rally speech to the team worked. He's leading off again!
  3. I posted my rant this morning at the end of yesterday's Game Day threat. I've posted before about the early season lack of hitting, defense and the spate of injuries and a correlation to Spring Training. I still feel the same way: none of these things should be an issue.
  4. I don't know. I could say last years success was due to it being the 1st year in a LONG time without Ron Gardenhire leading the team. Or I could say Paul Molitor is more of a teacher than a leader. I could also say that the poor performances and spate injuries was due to a lack of preparation in Spring Training. I think all this is circumstantial evidence, at best.
  5. He actually is a very good pitcher. It's just that the stats don't show it very well
  6. Ooo... Arcia pinch hitting for Santana. Please, please, puhlezzz let him play center field
  7. Seriously anyone but that guy. shoulda been tossed!
  8. Hello Mr. Ryan. Nice to have you hanging out. Er, I didn't mean it that way....
  9. sssshh..... Suzuki yanks another one....
  10. Checklist Hell, 1st inning Water, Muskegon River
  11. That's gotta be it. Made all Suzuki needed was getting challenged. For a change.
  12. Conference on the mound: Dean: sorry Zuk. I'm trying to get the ball up.... Suzuki: yeah, hurry up. I forgot my cup at home and the boys have been hanging low, like forever!
  13. from what I've seen, Berrios is overthrowing. His breaking pitches aren't much different from his fastball.
  14. Berrios is working his way back to Triple A
  15. uh oh, here comes Allen. GET YOUR HELMUTS ON !!
  16. Is that a lot? Hard to tell these days.....
  17. I was expecting Polanco to give Nunez a day off at short and Mastroianni giving Santana a day off. Proving Mastroianni is more than a bump on the bench. Nah....
  18. That leg kick / timing mechanism should lessen Buxton's swinging at those low - outside pitches.
  19. A Molina that's not a catcher? Man, did I lose interest quickly :-) The leg kick they're working on with Buxton isn't about hitting for power at all. It's timing. There's a couple articles in the Strib that mentions him today. Sounds like he won't be back anytime soon. Good. The concerns about health are still there [pulled for back spasms recently]. http://www.startribune.com/twins-in-no-rush-to-bring-buxton-back-up/379598261/ http://www.startribune.com/twins-postgame-buxton-heating-up-but-twins-haven-t-talked-about-a-promotion/379591531/
  20. As always, Matt: a great read! "the Twins executed a double steal, with Carew swiping second as Tovar stole home" Is it just me? Or are there others that would love to see the Twins doing something like this now?
