  1. 1-2-3 inning. Seems like it's been awhile. Nice Start!
  2. Santiago is throwing a screwball now? When did that happen? Or was I experiencing a Blyleven moment?

  4. I am 1 of 6 boys in our family. On our 8th birthday [no, no idea why #8] my parents had big Birthday parties for us. Relatives from all over, neighbors, etc. One small problem: My birthday is in early September and way before Global Warming. Yup, blizzard. And a dandy. Nobody could make it. My parents, being the great parents that they were, were trying to comfort me and making a big deal about presents. Me? I'm sitting there staring at this gigantic Birthday Cake. Fork at the ready :-)
  5. Casey Jones! A well-know character in children programming for what seemed like decades. The Birthday Song http://lunchwithcasey.com/main/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/jwbirthdayphoto-500x395.jpg https://youtu.be/wfSkqMP-L-4?t=1
  6. Chicago Cubs, 1987. Last place NL East by 18 1/2 games. Andre Dawson, NL MVP Now then: Cubs record that year was 76–85. Current Twins records: 55-95.
  7. I like Escobar at short. And i also like Polanco there as well. But I think one of them may be heading to 3rd. For all the love for Sano, my eye test says he should have been switched to another position a long time ago. Escobar has played 3rd a few times late this year. Dozier is superior to Polanco at 2nd. I'm not in a hurry to trade Dozier unless there's real value to be had. If he plays the 1st half of next year like he is not, his trade value could be enormous!
  8. By LEN III's count: J.J. Picollo, Derek Falvey and Jason McLeod and now Chaim Bloom and Rob Antony as known candidates. Nice list. Need more.
  9. oh jeebus.... for all his faults, Suzuki is a warrior!
  10. Strange his pants don't look more like these
  11. Pat Dean needs glasses. He squints to see the catchers call.
  12. Na, just hang your head in shame and hang around. http://i.imgur.com/T5ydBrq.gif
  13. Generally speaking [ and admitting to the SSS ], it looked like the only time Berrios got into trouble was when he was overthrowing.
  14. I'm thinking he just got away with it in the MiLB because the hitters at AAA aren't all that good anymore. Gotta catch that stuff earlier.
  15. According to the AMA, about 5 feet.
  16. Use the rest of this season to fine tune mechanics and start Berrios and Duffey in the bullpen next year. Let them develop like Adam Wainwright.
  17. 31 pitches in 1st inning. I saw, maybe, 2 breaking pitches.
  18. Can't disagree. But the Twins have changed Berrios' delivery. Gotta work on it sometime...
