    "a bunch of other talent in the form of Brian Dozier,...." Wow, Dozier in the "other" group. Ballsy!! LOL I'm very curious to see how Falvey and Levine work the starting pitching. I'll also be very interested in seeing Jim Pohlad's reaction if they ask him for big money to pursue a free agent pitcher. My guess the only thing we'll see this season is a parade of MiLB plays getting THE CALL. I'd find it fairly hard to believe Falvey and Levine would just sit still in a season that have low expectations by many.

    LEN3 posted an article about Jay this morning. What it's really all about is: 1. Innings 2. Fast Track to MLB Not enough of the first, Fast Track = RP. And, there's also this [from the article]: "There's another lefthander in camp who is rehabbing from shoulder surgery, and the process has been meticulously slow. His last outing, he touched 78 mph on the gun. There is no telling when he will be able to help the Twins. He's in the last year of his contract, making 2017 possibly his swan song."     I get what you're saying. IMHO: if the Twins are judging Berrios on a small sample size [and after the debacle in the handling of Berrios and Meyers in Houston] then the Twins should just try to trade him or otherwise let him go. However, I doubt they are judging him that way and, well, hope springs eternal. Or eternally? From what I've seen of Mejia, he looks like he has a clue on how to pitch. At 22 and 23 yrs. old, the Twins should be looking for a way to get both into the MLB this year. All-star break sounds about right...

    I really think a spot should be reserved for Berrios. He's really done all he can in MiLB. He needs the innings against MLB hitters to further refine his game.

    Well, it's true Park was dropped. But wasn't it also true his demotion due to injury? He's healthy now and has looked pretty good in SP.

    Do I have this right: Slegers is 24 yrs old and in High A-ball? The other thing is his fastball, and I kinda have this beef with anyone that is as big as Slegers: 6'10" 245lbs and his fastball sits around only 90-92? Someone, somewhere should be teaching these guys how to take advantage of what they've got physically. Watched a couple videos of Slegers: motion looks pretty good and safe. Time for him to bump it up and make 94 the norm.

    I think the key to Rosario is concentration. He goes on spurts, then seem to lose focus. I think a comp to Puckett is possible: Puckett was ALWAYS zoned in. With 2 MLB seasons under his belt, I think a repeat of 2015 is possible. Maybe better, if in the zone. btw: thanks for the interesting stats!

    Finally got a chance to read it. Nice article, Nick. Except reading the puking part this early in the morning Seems to me we spend a lot of time and consternation on having lefties in the bullpen. But we have to take the fact that they will be not much more than a one batter pitcher. I'm pretty sure Rodgers, Breslow [my 2 picks, in that order] Boshers and O'Rourke are pretty cheap. On that point, even. So, upside? Rodgers has some good moments last year. Breslow seems like the kind of guy who would be a great tutor. Step One: Fastball hard in, breaking ball low and away......

    Buxton has the speed, no question. I also think there are better options for leadoff hitter. Buxton's getting better, no question. At this point of the year, I'd rather see that OB% guy in front of him.

    Last season, Park was probably pushing too hard to prove he belonged in the MLB. I think he get's the call. I don't know what they'll do with Vargas. I'd probably give him the opportunity to catch on with another team.

    Pressly and O'Rourke = Bill Campbell and Tom Burgmeier? If I remember Campbell and Burgmeier correctly, Pressly and O'Rourke have far better fastballs.
