  1. I believe that's how they make Coke Zero
  2. eeesh, those stats on the Twins starters were, umm, something...
  3. He has a deli in town: The Blucher Shop
  4. Was kinda hoping Santana would get a break some day. His stats keep sinking.
  5. Damnit people. For the reading impaired: There is not now, nor has there ever been a Bonaparte living in Waterloo, Iowa!!! There is, however, a bread & breakfast with that name......
  6. huh? What would you be expecting in a return for Ricky Nolasco? This is a dump: nothing more, nothing less. This is a Kevin Correia-type opportunity. Correia was traded for a play to be named later or cash. Twins took the cash. Who Do the Twins Sell in 2016? Ricky Nolasco, while there's a glimmer of hope to do so.
  7. I don't know anything SportsBlog. No the less, interesting article. Is it possible? http://andrewebb.sportsblog.com/posts/17693606/mlb-rumors--ricky-nolasco-to-the-angels-.html
  8. Well, from a Fox Sports article: "Word got back to Trout and the Angels and they just laughed off the rumors." ...which probably pales by my laughter at the thought of the Angels contacting the Twins about a trade for Trout. California Dreaming
  9. Wow, I honestly had no idea. Thanks.
  10. Maybe I missed it. Has he been involved in the front office anywhere?
  11. Buxton currently has pretty good looking stats in 71 AB's. Personally, I'd like to see a helluva lot more walks than 7. What I'd like to see more than that is the 400+ AB's like he had in 2013. I'd like to see Buxton healthy for a significant amount of time, producing stats similar to that 2013 season at AAA.
  12. Yeah, statistics from the last 10 games only don't mean that much to me. Being the stubborn guy that I am, I need to see a seasons worth.
  13. Agreed. 20.37% into the season. I'm for waiting a little bit to see what happens after players make it off the DL and temps get warmer. Gibson can be a needed innings eater [really, really needed now] Plouffe really is a solid MLB player. Unfortunately, when need and opportunity are available [ NY Yankees ] Plouffe is just coming off the DL. Had this been as little as a couple weeks ago, Plouffe could possibly already be in NY. Contracts. Ufda. We wanted MLB starting pitchers and TR got them. As a team that doesn't have the big buck revenue, this is what the future looks like. Sorry.... At this point in time, I'd say the #1 thing to do is get people healthy and keep them that way. Skip starts, rotate players, whatever. Prep for mid-season and late-season trades. Keep the MiLB pipeline rolling.
  14. That's what I was afraid of. If you can't use both draft picks and MLB players to make trades, it really stacks everything in favor of the teams that have the money to literally buy entire teams. er, not that I'm a commie or anything
  15. Question: I haven't really followed the MLB draft. Is it now OK to trade MiLB draft picks? If so, can you package them with MLB / MiLB players?
  16. So, basically change the name of the Twins Front Office to the Twins Blue-Light Special Office!
  17. Well, I think it depends a lot on what the actual question was. If the question is: "What do you think of the Twins great pitching prospect Jose Berrios" and then shove a microphone into his face, what would you expect him to say. I will say this: His stuff has played out extremely well in the MiLB and he is still learning how to pitch to MLB hitters.
  18. Don't understand why they have Tonkin throwing all those breaking balls...
