  1. Falvey and Rocco will continue to put him in the lineup to try and prove they made this great trade.
  2. I am done with Outman, bring someone up who actually has a future with this team. They are giving him an extended run over players they have developed. Seems to be a familiar pattern, they don't trust their own development process.
  3. I thought Outman was a superior defender, that is the second flyball he has misplayed since coming up.
  4. That's my point, if they were truly being aggressive and less risk averse, we would see guys up here from the minor leagues in the bullpen. These castoffs are bad pitchers but have less risk and less upside. They are only looking at the risk side of the equation.
  5. I hope they start to be a little more aggressive on other parts of the game also but listening to Falvey yesterday I am just not sure it is in their DNA. They were very cautious in bringing up Abel and Bradley if he ever makes it up here. They wanted them to get used to the organization and all his other word salad he likes to spew. I am not sure it is entirely up to Rocco, they have an organizational philosophy that they are going to follow and we will sure if it follows true to form tonight. I really hope night, I want to see Abel and hopefully pitch well and to let him go. I know that they have shown some signs of being more aggressive especially if you listened to Provus last night. But it stills feel like they are not totally committed. I will need to see a longer stretch of aggressive play and moves to believe they truly will change.
  6. Will Rocco let him go any more than 5 even if he is doing well. Or will they say they want him to come out on a good note. I am afraid it will be the latter.
  7. Analytics don't value stolen bases, so the Twins have not been a running team. It was the same on the pitching side, where teams run on us because stolen bases have no or little value in the analytics world. So now they are now going against the analytics, so I wonder if Rocco isn't going off the reservation finally.
  8. Josh Naylor, the noted speedster has 22 stolen bases this year. It's not all about speed, it is a team choice to play station to station ball as they have done
  9. Hopefully it pays off in later starts though. We need our starters to learn to work thru trouble. You can't keep pulling them in the 4th and 5th inning especially with our vaunted bullpen.
  10. I liked the patience Rocco showed tonight in letting Zebby try and work thru it.
  11. Their 3rd string announcing team needed some work before the season began.
  12. Corey is obsessed with our "new running plan". Rocco is such a genius.
  13. I would hope he comes out, that is what the rest of the year should be about. Let him figure things out.
  14. Will be out there for the 5th inning or has he done his bulk pitching for the night.
  15. You are making assumption this management can identify such players and develop them. Their track record is very sub par in getting trade returns that are productive players. Ryan is the exception and not the rule.
  16. Regardless of the payroll, we do not have a front office that knows how to build a winner. They can't develop position players, have had more luck with pitchers. They don't know how to allocate the resources given to them efficiently, they paid Gallo $11m when no one else was offering him anything near that. Yes the Pohlads deserve everything coming to them but the biggest failing is not hiring a front office that is in alignment with their goals and build a team within the parameters given. This is what other teams do like Milwaukee and Cleveland. Hire someone with baseball experience that knows how to do develop a plan of what the roster should look like and develop the players accordingly and then hire a new manager.
  17. And yet noted speedster Josh Naylor has 22 stolen bases this year. Yes speed is needed but it is also about being smart baseball players knowing when to take your chances. This team has chosen the style they want to play and now Baldelli is acting like he is inventing a new style of baseball never seen before.
  18. You mean the whole month of August? The more he plays the more he is exposed. I want to keep him for next year but he should start a couple of days a week and come off the bench. He has good skills that translate well when coming off the bench.
  19. Gasper will not be part of the roster next year, it has become apparent he is not a catcher and he can not hit up here. So see what you have in Cardenas or Winkel. You aren't winning games this year, see what you have for next year.
  20. I doubt Pereda is in the plans for 2026. He is not young anymore and they are keeping Gasper up here over him. Why would anyone think he would even be an option for next year when he can't even beat out Gasper this year.
  21. Wasn't referring to this year only. Teams have lost two pitchers and you should be able to overcome that, so it should not be an excuse for this year.
