  1. Caratini has actually done pretty good on the ABS challenges, who knows about Jackson.
  2. It doesn't look like they are interested in bringing up Bowman if they recalled Adams. Today would be the day to do it as they need arms that can pitch tonight.
  3. Being an upgrade over Lewis is a low bar the way he is currently playing. I know Arcia is playing well but will that translate to anything more than he has done the last couple of years. On this roster we now have two AAAA utility players and one veteran utility player that is on the downside of his career. Even if this translates to one or two more wins this year, how does this help the team today or in the future. Is Culpepper really that far off from being ready to being called up. Let's not wait for the perfect timing. And if Lewis finds himself that is a good problem to have. I am afraid we are going to be stuck with Arcia, Gray and Kreidler because if I recall correctly they would need to be DFA'd if they are moved off the active roster. The recent history of this organization is they get nervous about not having enough depth so moving off of any of those players will be very difficult and a slow process.
  4. For everyone wanting Jeffers traded, you will now see the future starting today. Caratini and Jackson will be the two catchers for the near future.
  5. He might have problems swinging a bat if it is his wrist. So not sure DH is an option.
  6. So Seattle just called up Colt Emerson, .255 BA and .816 OPS at 20 years old, rated as #6 overall prospect. The Twins have Culpepper sitting over in St. Paul with a .253 BA .815 OPS at 23 years old rated as #39 prospect. Yes I know stats don't tell the whole story. But they have an obvious need, there is no reason not to take the chance to bring him up. Now is not the time to play if safe.
  7. Garcia just bought himself another two months.
  8. Or all of them at this point wouldn't bother me.
  9. Keaschall is having a nice game at the plate and the field, hope he can build off of this game.
  10. There are plenty of candidates to DFA, Banda, Garcia, Topa as a starting point.
  11. With his 9.00 ERA, you do know that means he gives up one run per inning on average.
  12. Larnach didn't look hurt in that at bat, there was no reason for him not to be in the starting lineup.
  13. Garcia coming in to pitch the ninth. I know the options are limited but are you kidding me.
  14. At least it is someone who has shown he can take good AB's and not someone like Gray or Bell.
  15. Multiple options, take a dart board and you probably wouldn't pick the wrong option.
  16. I would be surprised if Lewis is on the plane to Boston.
  17. The original comment I responded to said he could provide a boost in production for a couple of months. He is not going to provide a boost for any amount of time that was the point. I am not arguing about moving Lewis but understand the options are not good. That is why I think Culpepper is the best option because of his upside.
  18. He has hit .200 the last two years and had to accept a minor league deal this offseason. There is a pretty low bar to clear to be better than Lewis' s production right now. But I would keep the expectations pretty low for any impact he might provide.
  19. I am referring to where he is now in his career not five years ago.
  20. I am not in favor of moving Lee until there is a permanent solution like Culpepper. He has been hitting well and his defense has improved over the last couple of weeks. Arcia is not an improvement defensively over Lee.
  21. Their career numbers are where Lewis is at right now. They will have a good game here and there which is more than Lewis is giving us right now.
  22. They refuse to look at the best option which is Culpepper. Lewis is getting to the point of being unplayable, but two weeks of Arcia or Gray over there and we are going to be complaining as well.
  23. The Lewis piling on has reached a new low, blaming him for Kreidler's strikeout. Kreidler has a .159 career batting average I don't think he needs any inspiration to strike out.
