  1. So Seattle just called up Colt Emerson, .255 BA and .816 OPS at 20 years old, rated as #6 overall prospect. The Twins have Culpepper sitting over in St. Paul with a .253 BA .815 OPS at 23 years old rated as #39 prospect. Yes I know stats don't tell the whole story. But they have an obvious need, there is no reason not to take the chance to bring him up. Now is not the time to play if safe.
  2. Garcia just bought himself another two months.
  3. Or all of them at this point wouldn't bother me.
  4. Keaschall is having a nice game at the plate and the field, hope he can build off of this game.
  5. There are plenty of candidates to DFA, Banda, Garcia, Topa as a starting point.
  6. With his 9.00 ERA, you do know that means he gives up one run per inning on average.
  7. Larnach didn't look hurt in that at bat, there was no reason for him not to be in the starting lineup.
  8. Garcia coming in to pitch the ninth. I know the options are limited but are you kidding me.
  9. At least it is someone who has shown he can take good AB's and not someone like Gray or Bell.
  10. Multiple options, take a dart board and you probably wouldn't pick the wrong option.
  11. I would be surprised if Lewis is on the plane to Boston.
  12. The original comment I responded to said he could provide a boost in production for a couple of months. He is not going to provide a boost for any amount of time that was the point. I am not arguing about moving Lewis but understand the options are not good. That is why I think Culpepper is the best option because of his upside.
  13. He has hit .200 the last two years and had to accept a minor league deal this offseason. There is a pretty low bar to clear to be better than Lewis' s production right now. But I would keep the expectations pretty low for any impact he might provide.
  14. I am referring to where he is now in his career not five years ago.
  15. I am not in favor of moving Lee until there is a permanent solution like Culpepper. He has been hitting well and his defense has improved over the last couple of weeks. Arcia is not an improvement defensively over Lee.
  16. Their career numbers are where Lewis is at right now. They will have a good game here and there which is more than Lewis is giving us right now.
  17. They refuse to look at the best option which is Culpepper. Lewis is getting to the point of being unplayable, but two weeks of Arcia or Gray over there and we are going to be complaining as well.
  18. The Lewis piling on has reached a new low, blaming him for Kreidler's strikeout. Kreidler has a .159 career batting average I don't think he needs any inspiration to strike out.
  19. You couldn't let Banda face Chourio, any other hitter and I would agree but you needed a RH out there. And Morris made it work.
  20. Will they call up Bowman or will they let him walk and keep riding the likes of Garcia and Topa.
  21. And he has more periods of famine. I am fine with riding with him when he is in feast mode. The problem is we keep running him out there in his many famine moments.
  22. He was able to hit a home run yesterday with the tightness. This is completely a Shelton bad decision, don't let him off the hook.
  23. If you can't bring in a known commodity that will have an impact, then bring up Culpepper. If I am going to see mediocre results I would rather see it from someone who has a chance to be with the Twins in 27 and might learn from the experience. We already have two utility players on the roster, we sure don't need another.
