  1. And Caratini hasn't done well against any pitcher for the last month. I would take the hitter that will at least give you a competitive at bat.
  2. Larnach is still going to give a better AB than Caratini.
  3. I don't want to see Topa, but why is he even here if he can't pitch in the late innings. If he can't pitch in high leverage bring back Klein or Fundy.
  4. I think I would rather have Larnach up here instead of Caratini.
  5. What was wrong with the throw. Lewis had to make an off balance throw because of the short hop, not every throw will be right in the chest.
  6. It's hard to do a bullpen game when you don't have a bullpen
  7. He will be down there at least for two weeks unless there is another injury, which would not be surprising the way the season is going.
  8. I wasn't referring to you saying Fundy is the problem, I meant the Twins organization. I get your point about usage but I think Rojas will be the one getting the bulk innings after Morris. And I am not sure Banda will be available or would I want him to be.
  9. Funderburk has 15 walks and HBP in 16 innings, Banda has 13 in 16 innings with an ERA over 8. But sure let's say Funderburk is the problem.
  10. So we get to keep seeing Banda run out there. Options can not be the only criteria they use to make moves. Give me a reason to watch, I do not want to keep watching the washed up 30 somethings that are contributing nothing.
  11. Who did we walk off, and I thought Morris has been pitching out of the bullpen for a couple of weeks.
  12. Exactly, this was my whole issue with Falvey, he thought he was the smartest one in the room. And it doesn't look like this is going to change with Zoll.
  13. It has been interesting to hear about the drills that Sizemore has put him thru and the work they do before games. This was my frustration with Rocco, it seemed he let the players dictate how they prepared but that is what you have coaches for. Especially ones with major league experience, they know what it takes to be successful and can help others learn that as well.
  14. Well Kriedler is in St. Paul, so as long as we keep him there that is one problem solved.
  15. And yet Lewis has had two balls hit to the right side tonight. Maybe he's starting to figure it out, let's hope.
  16. Shelton was Falvey's hire, you would never have gotten a big name manager making big money to take the job even if you tried. The biggest thing the Pohlads are guilty of is not getting rid of Falvey last fall.
  17. Why let your best hitter hit in this situation. I know that Caratini and Clemens are superstars but why leave Jeffers on the bench.
  18. No one will want him. Last year, the Nationals couldn't find anyone to take him and I don't believe his market will be any better this year.
  19. This is who Bell is now at this point in his career. But he was our big money signing so we think he will be a core player and he's not. He should be hitting 6th or 7th but with this team he hits cleanup.
  20. Bell has four strikeouts so far tonight and he will be in the lineup again tomorrow probably hitting fourth.
  21. To win one or two more games over the rest of the season, no thank you. This season is toast, let's start playing for the future, now is the time. No more washed up veterans wasting AB's.
