  1. He is not going 5 innings regardless of how he pitches, so it will be hard to get the win.
  2. I would prefer him over Gray and Kreidler. I get we may need to have one of the three on the roster, but all three, that is insane.
  3. I am glad we haven't had many nights like last night and they actually have been more watchable than I anticipated. But having a roster with Gray, Arcia, Kreidler, Jackson, Caratini, Outman, Bell and trying to force Clemens into the lineup every day is not going to be sustainable for any kind of winning. They are stuck with Caratini because somebody has to catch. But can they get some players up here that might have a future with this team and quit forcing such wacky lineups. Gray is not an every day shortstop, Clemens is not an every day player, and Bell needs to be hitting 7th or lower if in the lineup at all. Show us they have some kind of plan other stop gap AAAA type players or aging veterans..
  4. We will see what they do, this is why I don't like what they are doing with Rojas. But it would only be one more day so they might push Rojas back to tomorrow..
  5. My guess is we will see Rojas tonight, they want to keep him on a every fourth day schedule so he can straddle the line between starter and reliever. There new fancy word for that is bulk pitcher.
  6. Why are they playing the infield in, give up a run for the out. This is too early in the game for this move.
  7. You are making two very big assumptions, first is Lewis at 1B, everybody on here wants that move but the Twins have yet to signal anything that it's going to happen. The other is that Bell will be traded, they will have to DFA him if they want to clear a roster spot. Last year Washington could find no one to take him at the trade deadline and there wasn't a lot of interest in the offseason. Other than a couple of good stretches this season, he has not done anything to improve his value.
  8. You forgot about Kreidler, he was playing there in spring training. Why is he on the roster as well as Outman.
  9. Why are either Kreidler or Outman on this roster. If they aren't going to playing them tonight in front of Clemens or Gray, they need to be gone. Everyone on here is saying Kreidler plays elite defense, someone may want to inform the Twins because Gray is that not strong of a SS. Get players up here that least you are going to play, playing short handed is shooting yourself in the foot. One other rant, the Twins literally have no starters down in AAA, they are bulk guys at this point. If you are going to move guys around in the rotation, you need to start developing some starters in AAA that are ready to come up and contribute.
  10. Outman with a K rate of almost 50 percent, he should not be leaving Chicago with the rest of the team.
  11. You let Outman hit against a lefty but not Larnach who has been giving much more productive AB's than Outman.
  12. That was a nice play by Keaschall, I am not sure how you give all the credit to Clemens.
  13. I am glad he left Ryan in there, right now he is our best pitcher and I will live and die with our best out there every time.
  14. Why did Outman hit against the lefty, I thought Kreidler was an outstanding center fielder.
  15. So he will learn to lay off pitcher's pitches in those two weeks and it will never happen when he gets up here. That is just one extreme example based on your comment earlier. Again no prospect as a finished product. If I am going to see Gray out at SS, I would rather see Culpepper up here learning what it takes to be successful in the major leagues. That is a pretty low bar to meet for performance.
  16. You are kind of making my point for me, I know he has things to work on, but if you say mid June, how much can truly be improved in two weeks.
  17. So what is the point of this board because everything discussed on here is being decided by the professionals. According to you we should just trust them for everything and we should just shut up. Just keep putting your thumbs down on every one of my posts if you don't agree with me.
  18. What is that time frame, no prospect is ever 100% ready. We are running Gray out there tonight, there is a need, sometimes you have to be a little aggressive.
  19. Easy solution, bring up Culpepper for short and put Kreid1er in center. Outman has not earned a spot on this roster.
  20. I have seen this in multiple games this year, players are going to have to adjust. The umpires are being pretty consistent if you go near your helmet, they consider that a challenge.
  21. But with the challenge rules, he needs to change his habits.
  22. Can we just be done with Outman on the roster, he brings no value.
  23. It would be a great problem to have three or four players that can play and contribute. If it gets to that point, Lee can play three positions and can move around and still play three or four days a week, This would eliminate the need for the likes of players like Gray, Arcia or Kreidler. You would also strengthen your bench with the player not playing on a given day. Look at our bench tonight, Kreidler, Arcia, Bell and Jackson, not exactly going to strike a lot of fear in the opposing team.
  24. If Lewis were to return to his former self, which I know everyone has opinions on, those three players are not going to be a obstacle to finding him playing time. Lee could easily slide back to SS over those three.
