  1. Larnach doing everything he can to convince the front office that he wants to stay here.
  2. All week long he has been producing in the late innings helping us win games. You are proving my point, you are going to hang on to yesterday, but the base hit he got before Clemen's home run or the home run he hit on Friday to tie the game in the 7th inning are just ignored. Those are only two examples.
  3. Let's hear from the Royce haters, he has been coming up big in the later innings, this is why you let him get comfortable at a position and let him play.
  4. Rojas is not ready to be a starter for everyone who has been calling for him to start. He is still learning to command his pitches up here and needs more time in AAA.
  5. But Matthews has been better than Kremer this year. It feels we may be taking a step back and the offense is not going to overcome it.
  6. What do you want Tom P. to do, he has already authorized additional money if needed. Now it is up to Zoll to figure out the right moves, but good luck with that.
  7. It may not matter if he gives up 6 runs a game like he has been.
  8. Unless there is an injury, that is 3 starts we are potentially starting a less productive pitcher. I wouldn't want to give those games away. But we will see what Kremer can do.
  9. I am disappointed that he is replacing Matthews, I really hope he finds his pre 26 form or it might not end well.
  10. Just keep running the same lineup out there and hope it gets better. That has been the strategy for the last 10 years, hope.
  11. Rice would already be back there if they were comfortable with him back there.
  12. I think it's from the original injury, I had not heard he did this again or did I miss something.
  13. Houston is going the force the issue at some point either this year or early next year if he keeps hitting like he has. I wouldn't be opposed to bringing him directly from Wichita.
  14. Playing the position and filling a hole are two different things.
  15. I have no dislike for Kreidler personally. I have a dislike for a team playing someone who is not a starting caliber SS every day when they say are contenders. Especially when there is someone ready to play that position that has much more potential upside.
  16. You don't read real well, I said it's worth a shot. They have the pedigree and many have said they are ready to be up here. Kreidler is doing nothing at the plate as is Roden, so you want to ride that for the month of August or maybe try to inject some life into the offesne.
  17. He had 9 RBI's in July, that is not good. And he usually goes cold in August which is why the last couple of years there has been no market for him at the trade deadline. I
  18. We know you don't bring any one up from the minors, you keep signing later20's early 30's AAAA types or past their prime players to fill in your roster. Why do we even have a minor league system.
  19. Culpepper and Jenkins have to be in KC Tuesday regardless of moves made today or tomorrow. They can easily replace Kreidler and Roden in the lineup. And we can say goodbye to Gray. They need the offense, it's worth the shot to see if they can provide a spark.
  20. He had 9 RBi's in July, that is not very consistent. He is a streaky hitter and we are the downswing of that streak again.
  21. Need a replacement for Bell, he is not a DH for a contending team, he is a below average hitter. And they have him in the middle of the order.
  22. The counter argument is many will not acknowledge when he is hitting better or that overall he has not been mediocre at 1B. He is hitting over .250 with an OPS.810 over the last two months since coming back. And yes his overall average stinks because he sucked the first month and a half. But he made adjustments and is hitting and is contributing to wins. Three wins in the later innings this week and he played a part in all of those comebacks. But we don't hear about that unless he hits the walk off. Kody deserves the credit for his hit on Thursday but it doesn't happen without the Bell and Lewis at bats. As for fielding let him play one position for a full year and see what happens. As someone said in a different post it took Mauer almost two years to be good at 1B. But people want instant results from Royce at least try and be a little objective.
