  1. I am going to watch our next All Star catcher in Tait tonight. Beautiful night for a game in Cedar Rapids.
  2. Where is the rule that a player has to play in AAA. There are plenty of examples of players that have skipped AAA or had very little time there come up and be successful, even at a younger age. If he is ready bring him up and have patience. And do you have reporting that says he won't sign an extension with the Twins.
  3. Neither one will be next year at least not early in the year. Roden is younger so he probably has a longer leash. But Outman will be here at least until next August at the earliest.
  4. Hate it to break it to you, but Outman will be on the 26 man roster next year unless Falvey is fired, which probably won't happen. There is no way Falvey will admit he made a mistake that soon.
  5. Is Rocco giving up on this game already, get someone else in there.
  6. I think Bradley has peaked in his ML career, which is par for Falvey, get somebody on the way down and not up.
  7. Bring in the infield in the first inning, instead of a double play, you give up two runs.
  8. I think Lewis has been better than he has been given credit for. Mackey tweeted a stat showing he has the third best OPS since June. Yes he brings some of the criticism on himself but I think he dug himself a huge hole earlier in the year and it is hard to get out of. See what he can do next year. Julien is not in the plans, if he was he would be starting ahead of Clemens. He has had a longer sustained stretch of success in the major leagues than Clemens but yet he starts a couple of times a week. Clemens is a good bench player but not a starter. And flipping your bat when you are in a 4 for 40 stretch is just unnecessary. As others have said, Falvey and Rocco need to go. At a minimum there needs to be a complete unbiased organizational review of what is working and not working. Because there is a lot not working and this next batch of prospects need to be put in a position to succeed, then if they don't maybe they weren't good enough. But I doubt this will happen without a change in ownership. But something is wrong in this organization and you would think they would want to figure it out.
  9. Buxton has a no trade contract and has made it pretty clear he won't waive it. Have to believe he sees a couple of tough years ahead and still has been pretty adamant about not wanting to be traded. I think at this point his actions say he will be here, so assuming he will be traded is not a good assumption.
  10. And he is in the middle of a 4 for 39 stretch, not the time to be doing a bat flip.
  11. Falvey and Rocco will continue to put him in the lineup to try and prove they made this great trade.
  12. I am done with Outman, bring someone up who actually has a future with this team. They are giving him an extended run over players they have developed. Seems to be a familiar pattern, they don't trust their own development process.
  13. I thought Outman was a superior defender, that is the second flyball he has misplayed since coming up.
  14. That's my point, if they were truly being aggressive and less risk averse, we would see guys up here from the minor leagues in the bullpen. These castoffs are bad pitchers but have less risk and less upside. They are only looking at the risk side of the equation.
  15. I hope they start to be a little more aggressive on other parts of the game also but listening to Falvey yesterday I am just not sure it is in their DNA. They were very cautious in bringing up Abel and Bradley if he ever makes it up here. They wanted them to get used to the organization and all his other word salad he likes to spew. I am not sure it is entirely up to Rocco, they have an organizational philosophy that they are going to follow and we will sure if it follows true to form tonight. I really hope night, I want to see Abel and hopefully pitch well and to let him go. I know that they have shown some signs of being more aggressive especially if you listened to Provus last night. But it stills feel like they are not totally committed. I will need to see a longer stretch of aggressive play and moves to believe they truly will change.
  16. Will Rocco let him go any more than 5 even if he is doing well. Or will they say they want him to come out on a good note. I am afraid it will be the latter.
  17. Analytics don't value stolen bases, so the Twins have not been a running team. It was the same on the pitching side, where teams run on us because stolen bases have no or little value in the analytics world. So now they are now going against the analytics, so I wonder if Rocco isn't going off the reservation finally.
  18. Josh Naylor, the noted speedster has 22 stolen bases this year. It's not all about speed, it is a team choice to play station to station ball as they have done
  19. Hopefully it pays off in later starts though. We need our starters to learn to work thru trouble. You can't keep pulling them in the 4th and 5th inning especially with our vaunted bullpen.
  20. I liked the patience Rocco showed tonight in letting Zebby try and work thru it.
  21. Their 3rd string announcing team needed some work before the season began.
  22. Corey is obsessed with our "new running plan". Rocco is such a genius.
  23. I would hope he comes out, that is what the rest of the year should be about. Let him figure things out.
