  1. Yes he only has been one of our hottest hitters the last two months, but you are right he hasn't done anything.
  2. We don't need him until 2028 at the earliest.
  3. Three runs in six innings is not a bad outing, the offense has to do their part.
  4. I think you can say that for most pitchers in the league.
  5. Jenkins is not somebody you platoon, you bring him up and you play him.
  6. Some nice at bats from Royce tonight, others need to be watching and foul off those close pitches with two strikes.
  7. Kody is reverting back to his old form of just hitting easy fly balls, not hitting anything hard with any consistency.
  8. They are still pitching him outside trying to get him to chase, the more he lays off which he has been doing, the more they are going to have to start pitching to him.
  9. The quote was telling to me in how this team is operating and Zoll is no different than Falvey. They value a AAAA guy vs. a young guy because they think they will bring more to the clubhouse. Let's make talent the main criteria for who makes the team.
  10. Shelty talking about the veterans and the culture they helped create in the locker room. I know culture can be important but you are 3 games below .500 and soon to be 4. I want veterans that produce not give hugs.
  11. And this is one of many reasons he is not qualified for his job.
  12. Yes the team we are running out there has no holes and is excellent from 1 thru 13, no help is needed.
  13. Let's worry about 2026 first, they said they were contenders, put the best team on the field now, not in two weeks or next week.
  14. Jenkins hit a bomb in the first inning, but hey we don't need him.
  15. Is any of our reporters going to ask Zoll what the plan is for Culpepper and Jenkins.
  16. I understand that we stink against LH pitching. But this focus on a RH bat I think is misplaced. Focus on getting the best nine players in your starting lineup. Yes there may be a position that platoons maybe two. We face LH pitching a lot less than RH pitching, I want to see the focus on quality. This is what has led to having guys like Margot and Garlick on the roster and even Gray this year because they want a LH hitting backup infielder.
  17. I think Zoll had great input into this roster during the offseason. He was Falvey's #2 and was not a passive bystander in preparing for the season. We will never know where he and Falvey may have had disagreements but the only change is who has the final say. You are right about Gray, but the numbers still say something has to give in the offseason.
  18. In sheer numbers they do have a logjam of outfielders. There are 9 outfielders on the 40 man roster plus Keaschall. And they have Rosario in St. Paul not on the 40 man roster. Yes you need depth but if everyone is healthy there are not enough AB's to go around between Minneapolis and St. Paul. This is where I don't think Zoll is up to the job, you can't have a quarter of your forty man roster be outfielders. Even moving Wallner for a bucket of balls would have helped clear this a little bit. But guys in St. Paul have to play or their development will stagnate.
  19. I agree on the position moves and coaching. But he is not responsible for calling up or demoting players.
  20. That is a pretty low bar if Kreidler is our best defensive CFer, he is average at best out there.
  21. What is a right-handed bat going to do for this team. We need offense, it doesn't matter what side of the plate they hit from. We had 7 righties and it should have been 8 in the lineup. Maybe we need more quality instead of just someone who stands on the right side.
  22. Self scouting has never been a strength of this front office and it is all the same personnel. So I am not sure what they are looking at.
  23. I agree but he seems very reluctant to pull the trigger. My fear is he is Falvey 2.0 and only values veterans so he will go dumpster diving. And I really hope I am wrong.
  24. How about getting a real general manager and say good bye to Zoll.
