  1. What are the Braves doing, they are using a catcher as their DH without a 3rd catcher on the bench, they are so reckless.
  2. Until you have a change in the front office, this won't happen.
  3. Pretty simple ERod or Jenkins because one of them should be on the roster and not the anchor Alex Jackson.
  4. Kreidler should be thankful he is even in the major leagues and needs to stay in the IF, he is not an outfielder.
  5. Yes he has options and I am fine with him as organizational filler, I think that is the best role for him.
  6. He cleared waivers and it was the second time this year that he has cleared. But the Twins are smarter than every other organization in baseball, the ghost of Falvey lives on.
  7. They start the series on Thursday, so he could start either day.
  8. My wife liked the move because this is the move that now has me seriously considering not renewing my season ticket package. I have always had it because I enjoy baseball, but this front office is sucking out all of the joy of watching them. Shelty has the team at least playing a more enjoyable brand of ball this year but this move could be the straw that broke the camel's back.
  9. They pushed him to Friday, so they appear to be trying to give him some extra time between starts.
  10. We have outfielders coming up that have more upside, he is going to be 27 before next season and he has yet to take advantage of opportunities he has been given the last two years. We have an abundance of corner outfielders and need to move some and Roden should be one. I am concerned the only reason he is getting a chance is because he was traded for and they are falling into the sunk cost fallacy like they always do.
  11. If only we had a real CF to play there when Buxton needs the day off, I wonder if that should be Jackson's role.
  12. Roden needs to earn the 4th outfielder job in spring training. I still am not sure why he is up here.
  13. To me Zoll is just the start. I want someone in there who can evaluate talent on the field not just on a spreadsheet. They then need to determine who stays and who doesn't based on a review of the whole operation.
  14. You can move Clemens down in the order as well, I am not sure why he is hitting in front of Lewis.
  15. The moves with Gray and Jackson are neither for rebuilding or competitive, that's the problem. And it shows how there is no change, they value the fringe players or over their own prospects. Gray has no business being on a major league roster and shouldn't be recalled. The only role Jackson should have is backup catcher and that role is currently being filled by Caratini. They are making these moves because they think it makes them competitive. I don't know what more evidence Tom P. needs but Zoll should be fired today, not the end of the season.
  16. The same regime is still here that traded for Mendez. That is why Outman was left on the roster at the beginning and they are trying to force Roden into the lineup. I don't understand this narrative that there was change to the front office. Falvey was let go and Zoll his #2 was made the top voice. But all the same people are still advising and assisting Zoll that did the same duties for Falvey. Nothing has changed and bringing up Gray a month ago and Jackson again pretty much proves the point it is business as usual as it has been for the last 10 years.
  17. I hear what you are saying but Jackson has not pinch hit once in his prior stint with the Twins, why would he now. And while you may be right, they have to stop worrying what side of the plate a hitter stands on, especially Jenkins. And honestly, this isn't a shot at you, but this constant they aren't ready refrain is getting a little old. No player at AAA is 100% ready, you need to bring them up and let them finish their learning curve that can only happen at this level. This mentality is why we keep having the one year veteran and journeyman flowing thru this roster leading to .500 baseball at best. Our farm system keeps getting highly rated, but then we don't use it to either trade for impact players or play them up here.
  18. I posted immediately after this news and 24 hours I am even more frustrated. I have yet to see a rational argument for this move in any article about this or the comments. You can debate about who to call up, but at a minimum it should have been a outfielder. I like Larnach and he has had a good season, but is he really untouchable to sit a day or two. The same for Bell, he has been league average all year, now he is on a hot streak, ride it while you can, but I am not sure he can't sit either. This team is 4 games below .500, the longest winning streak is 4 games and losing streak is 5 games this season. I understand the argument that you are going to ride the same players but why not try and give them a boost. Be honest and objective is this team capable of a 10 game winning streak, maybe if everything goes right, but why not try and provide a boost. Also having an outfielder you could stop playing Kreidler and Clemens in the outfield, they are not outfielders. Their athleticism will help them run down flyballs the same as Keaschall but they have to make other plays. But to call up somebody to just sit, at least call up Sabato to play against lefties or Wallner to pinch hit late in games, at least there would be a reason for them to sit on the bench because there is none for Jackson.
  19. No they don't have to announce a detailed plan, but their actions should indicate some sort of plan. Until the past few years I have always been able to see at least some plan from the team based on the actions going back to the 70's. Now there is no indication of a a plan and what they are trying to accomplish. Yes they want to win but how, their actions don't tell us anything. And as fans we should be able to see something to give us a reason to support this team.
  20. No they expect this organization to act like an organization that is serious about winning.
  21. Well they weren't a sub .500 team, so there might have been less to criticize.
  22. Is it time for our top pinch runner for Bell.
  23. The Twins team and a few posters in the Jackson promoted forum topic. Can't take away ab's from Bell or Larnach or Clemens.
