  1. And our RBI leader struck out in that situation.
  2. Who put the jinx on Nance about his scoreless streak.
  3. Jenkins would be this way based on what. And I am not sure the catcher's interference had anything to do with Jeffers worrying about his brand.
  4. Well it does help when you have Mason Miller in the bullpen.
  5. Can we get a real outfielder to play for defensive purposes late in the games.
  6. That would have been a strike, it was not outside as you originally claimed.
  7. And the pitch was in the lower half of the strike zone on Gameday.
  8. But the last hit was to the right side, not sure how he pulled that one.
  9. That batting ave of .324 and OPS of .867 in August, but Lewis hasn't helped at all. Don't think it is reasonable to compare current production to Buxton and Larnach.
  10. That pitch was in the zone and would have been a strike. He has been laying off the low outside pitch better, that pitch was not outside but he did go with the pitch.
  11. Another team doing the unthinkable, pinch hitting their second catcher without a third catcher on the bench. And here I thought the Twins had the smartest front office in the league.
  12. I actually think Shelton has done a good job with the bullpen up until the past week or so. It is like he is not adjusting to the time of the season where maybe the starters can't be stretched as much. Or the urgency of the games where you have to be quicker to react. I just don't understand what he is thinking.
  13. He's blowing past his season high for pitches thrown in a game as well. You would think the analytic nerds would have given him this stat before the game.
  14. So a lefty to face Merrill when there are two righties before him, this makes no sense.
  15. Why is Shelton so gun shy on going to the bullpen, he actually has some competent arms down there now.
  16. Bell really needed to come thru there as well as Jeffers. Can't let those opportunities go with zero runs.
  17. That has to be it for Kremer, don't let him come out in the 6th. The bullpen is rested, use them.
  18. He didn't do a rehab assignment, is still getting his timing back. Have seen some better swings the last few games. Hopefully he can find it sooner than later.
  19. And just walked two guys and has been struggling to throw strikes all night, called effectively wild.
  20. ERod trying his best to get Zoll's attention, just hit his 3rd home run in the last 3 games. Not sure if the rust is knocked off, but he is trying to make his case.
  21. Culpepper has shown that you can call up young players and while they may make mistakes, they can make positive contributions. Clemens needs to be the super utility guy and not an everyday player getting 350 to 400 AB's.
  22. We have to take better swings if we are going to keep trying to ambush the pitcher on the first pitch.
  23. Depends if that is a better version of AAAA, if so I would disagree.
  24. His approach has changed at the plate to one he is comfortable with which it makes easier to make adjustments. He has done a better job overall of laying off the outside pitches which is why he is getting more pitches in the zone to hit. Probably still needs to continue to improve this but has definitely done better. He had a 7 to 10 stretch after the break that he struggled and worked his way out of, so he has shown can make adjustments. Sometimes you have to watch the game and get your eyes off the spreadsheet, there is value to that. He has made improvements and in my mind needs to be the first baseman going into next season.
