I thought the reference was to the double play ball. The one he dove for, that's usually not going to be an error when it's not an ordinary play even in todays scoring environment.

So you think the Twins should move on from Buxton, that is fair. But state that then saying they should do him a favor or that this is a business. I think the Twins made it pretty clear that Buxton is not going to be traded and they are not approaching him about him. And I doubt anything will change this offseason. Quite frankly, I think this is a situation Tom P. will give input to if they even think about approaching him. I am just as frustrated as anyone that he isn't out there for 140 games but I enjoy every game he is out there because he is an exciting player to watch. And that is what the casual fan says and sees as well. And based on Tom P. comments about winning back fans, I don't think he would want to take the PR nightmare that would come with moving Buxton.

I know he usually doesn't play a day game after a night game but he should not be worn down with the time missed due to the injury. And with the day off tomorrow I don't understand why he couldn't be in the lineup today. The only good news is we have a viable pinch hot option on the bench.

In this business they give players who have played 10 years in the league and 5 years with the same team veto rights on any trade. And Buxton has said he wants to stay here. So no they can't just trade him because they want to, Buxton has to approve. That is the business rule for baseball.

I have always liked Larnach, so from that standpoint I would like to see him stay. But in reality like you said he should be moved or non tendered.

Wallner has to be with another organization, it is past time. It hasn't worked out here and the Twins have obviously moved from him. Larnach probably should be non tendered unless he is here as the LH DH which I would not be completely opposed to. Roden is probably at AAA or the 5th outfielder unless he shows something more this last month and a half than he has so far.

How are you doing him a favor when he says he wants to be here for his whole career and has the power at least until his contract is up to say where he will play.

I think next year the rotation should be Lopez, Ryan, Bradley, with Preilipp, Matthews and Kremer battling for the final two spots. And we let Ober go, which I wish wasn't the case, I have always have been a fan of his but it is time. I think Preilipp and Matthews have earned the right to be penciled in at the back end but can't remember Kremer's contract situation and want to see him earn a spot not be given one due to contract. Abel and Rojas would be the first two called up from St. Paul. I am not counting on Festa on any role until he can show he is healthy. They also have to move on from Larnach unless the plan is sign another one year bridge fringe veteran, than I would keep Larnach as DH. They need to commit to ERod and Jenkins next year and use the DH on a rotating basis with Keaschall and Buxton the other outfielders. At some point they have to commit to the players in St. Paul. They need to use the assets they have in the minors either to trade for proven position starters and not one year fringe veterans or bring them up and commit to them. The continual signing of one year veterans and putting them into roles that are probably one step above of where they should be is not working and there is an opportunity cost to not giving your younger players a chance. The Bell signing is an example, if he's signed, is ERod on the roster from day 1, does he do poorly or does he start to show he can be a part of the core of the team. And I am looking at it from the time of when the signing was made. Even now Bell is best utilized probably in the 6th or 7th spot of the batting order and being the 3rd or 4th bat you rely not the top power threat. You are right the games are more entertaining, but I also want to see that they can sustain some level of competitiveness. And they are struggling to do that even on a week to week level, which I know can be the nature of baseball. But what is the plan that says hey next year we can build off this season and the things Shelty is doing on the field and raise the talent level on this team. And quite honestly the current decision makers don't give me that hope.

But I thought Jackson was future a All-Star.

This roller coaster is fun at times and not so fun at times. So why not try and improve so you can be more consistent.

Just wish they would do it for a few more games at a time, because they can be fun to watch.

It's outings like tonight that I don't want to give up on Zebby as a starter. He has had more of these than the blow ups.

So Roden is taken out basically for Clemens, a utility guy. If they don't trust his defense in the late innings in place of a utility guy, what is the rationale for this roster construction.

I was curious they didn't pinch run for him. We have two other catchers on the bench to come in for him.

The player who has been here all year and should have earned more trust is the one they sit.

So they have more faith in Roden than Larnach, then why isn't Jenkins or ERod up here.

He does have a career average of .174, I would not expect the short sample size of this year to continue.
