    In my opinion Matthews has earned the right to start spring training as of the one five starters. Now if he gets out performed in spring training then he either is the 6th starter or in the bullpen. But he has been a solid #4 or 5 guy this year. I am not sure what more people want to see from him. Yes he has things to work on and improve, but he should start out as one of the five.

    Honest question, what do you think Abel can do for a full year, when we have no idea what he is capable of yet.

    We have no idea what Abel can do, he had a couple of good outings but still struggled to throw strikes at times. To me he has to come to spring training and earn a spot, he has good stuff but he hasn't done enough to say he is in the rotation. Sometimes you lose opportunities when you get injured and that is what happened this year.

    Gasper is not the answer behind the plate and we will see if he is anything more than a AAAA player that is on a heater.

    Falvey would not work with the resources he was given, he wanted to act like a large market which we are not. Other teams have been able to work within the operating parameters of baseball and construct contending teams. Yes baseball has things to be fixed but to try and say Falvey had no blame for this mess is laughable.

    I never understood the Caratini signing if this was the plan. He has never been the number 1 catcher and is now in his mid thirties, typical Falvey signing.

    My concern with Taj, is he loses focuses and at times just can't find the strike zone. For me, your top two pitchers shouldn't have that problem as often as Taj does. Not that it happens every time but more than it should.

    Taj is our best pitcher after Joe, but nowhere near an ace, he is a #3 pitcher.

    Larnach is still under team control if they tender him, I would have to believe he is non tendered. But if Zoll is still in charge who knows.

    Larnach I agree on, I think Jeffers was a different situation. I know a lot of people would have like to get prospects for him, but to the casual fan when we were still in it, that would have been tougher to sell why they traded one of their best hitters. I would have been fine either way, but I don't think he was as straight forward to move on from as others think.

    Since he won't use them, I would highly doubt he does.

    Milwaukee has done the same thing, but we need a real GM to understand this. When you call up Gray a second time like Zoll did in July and keeps carrying Jackson after DFA'ing him once shows he has no clue on how to build a winning organization.

    But at a minimum with ERod, he is an outfielder that could be the defensive replacement while they continue this charade that they are still in the hunt,

    By their choice, when you carry Alex Jackson for no reason, you can have better options.
