  1. But do you want Zoll making this decision, does he have the experience to make the right trade. This is not Tommy P.'s call except for approving dollars or not. Where Tom P. is at fault is not having someone in charge that can make the right moves.
  2. Our home run hitters are in St. Paul, Lewis went deep again.
  3. So they would basically be saying he wouldn't be ready to contribute until 28 when he is almost 26, That would be ridiculous. Other teams are doing it regardless of what may happen next year.
  4. Yet other teams have been calling up their younger players whether on the 40 man or not. They need to put the best team out there and right now that means Culpepper at short. I am not giving any slack to the Twins for this non move, it is starting to be management malfeasance.
  5. I just discovered it is legal to throw out a runner trying to steal, Cardenas just did in St. Paul.
  6. I can give you about 10 candidates that can be removed from the 40 man roster. Gray is not a major league shortstop and obviously they have no faith in Kreidler.
  7. How many more home runs does Culpepper have to hit to get him called up,
  8. Do we have any catchers in the minor league that can function on the defensive side of the ball, At this point I don't care what they do with the bat.
  9. Why do we need more prospects, we either don't develop or play the ones we have now. So let's just load up on some more to sit behind the AAAA types and aging vets. I don't want Zoll anywhere near making this type of decision for this organization. We need someone leading baseball operations who knows what they are doing.
  10. They could send Bell packing and it wouldn't hurt my feelings.
  11. Paredes is a bulk guy and if he pitches it will just be a glorified bullpen game. They have stopped developing starters in AAA, they are all bulk guys. So welcome to the new reality of the Twins.
  12. Is the front office using a dart board or do they just wake in the morning and make some random move. I thought if anything they would pick up a starter that can give some length. There have been 10,000 in various outlets about how they are short on starters and have no one to fill in for Ober. So pick up another aging vet who has no upside at all to pitch in relief.
  13. There is a reason Caratini has primarily been a back up catcher his whole career. It was not a good use of resources to sign him when those dollars could have been used more efficiently, but this was a typical Falvey move. And it will only get worse next year if they try to go into the season with him as the primary catcher.
  14. It was nice to see Gray come thru but it does not lessen the need for Culpepper. This would make Gray the utility infielder which is a role he is more suited for.
  15. Get Clemens out of CF, he is out of his depth.
  16. Ryan bailed out his defense, Clemens and Gray owe him a steak dinner.
  17. You keep playing players out of position, it has a ripple effect on the rest of the defense. But that's right any body can play anywhere,
  18. I am sure glad we have Gray as our starting SS, too bad we don't have any other options.
  19. Reports were the Nationals were trying to give him away. He has no pathway to playing for anybody other than the Twins in the major leagues. No one else will play him at 1B, which is a smart move. And he hasn't hit well enough the last few years consistently to be a full time DH.
  20. Based on comments last week, it sounds it is the Twins that are trying to protect Buck from himself, their words. They want him at 100% before playing in the field. But it is getting old and seeing Clemens in CF is not a solution. Again why are Outman and Kreidler even on this roster. It would be nice if we had some reporters in this town that would actually track Zoll down and ask what the plan is.
  21. If they are not going to put the best out there in 2026 and also look to the future, that is management malfeasance. They can't stop and run status quo just because of a potential work stoppage. And actually the moves I am suggesting will actually help the team be prepared for when baseball resumes again whether at the beginning of next season or mid season. I am not accepting mediocrity and just standing still when you are running players out there that have no business being in the major leagues.
  22. We have four starters and no one prepared in AAA to step in to a starting role. Some of this is injuries but the other reason is they have turned the majority of the staff in St. Paul into bulk relievers. So they are not prepared from either a pitch count or facing a lineup multiple times to be starters. So bring up two of those guys to replace Ober and run your bullpen short. Even with injuries you have to have guys in roles prepared to come up and help out the team. They may not have much success, but you can't run a bullpen game every 5th day. They really need someone to come in and be a senior advisor to Zoll, I don't think he is up to the task of being the top baseball voice in an organization. And every day he flounders sets this team back even further. Last thought, they really need to consider extending Jeffers, hopefully he would agree to it. Do you really want to see Caratini behind the plate for 100 games next year.
