    I like to think that means their speed of recovery is relativistic. Look for them to be slightly younger than they would have been if they had recovered at a normal pace. (and just to head off the question, no, it has no observable effects on Buxton's service time)

    I would actually be in favor of a ballpark with no outfield walls. Having played softball on intramural leagues using the corner of soccer fields, there something kind of appealing in the context of "if the ball gets by you, you have to run it down" and Buxton's virtuosity as a fielder would play well there.

    Do i get to refer folk here to the gamethread? Or will someone else do that as it gets pinned? This seems like pretty good discussion as is... I like openers. But there is something to be said for simplicity and i'm just as happy having only one pitcher pitch.

I hope we give them plenty to um... righteously retribute. That said, good to hear how good Luis Robert is. Winning wouldn't mean very much if we only played bad players...

    Huzzah for the nickel-curve. I recall my pop sayin' that Ted Williams had said was one of the reasons no one would hit 400 again. And the fact folk are still improvin' is a credit to the atmosphere and coaching. Am i allowed to be excited about the Twins?
