    Well, right now we have a pretty deep bullpen, so you can stash him there. Obviously some medical issues this year. Trot him out for a playoff game that gets out of hand to take one for the team. I said Thorpe just because I like the idea of having him as a lefty starter, but you could convince me of Smeltzer too. I actually like the idea of doing the bullpen start for the playoffs.

    And here we go on the roller coaster ride.

    So, Indians have Philly at home who still have a faint glimmer of hope for the wildcard...very faint, the White Sox on the road who are not good, but have a good core of talent, and finish at Washington who really needs to play well to hang on to the wildcard. That last series is the most interesting one in baseball to me. Two teams that need to win to get in...playoff baseball a few days early.

    Gibson got frustrated with close pithes not being called, but at this point in his career, you can't let that get to you. His emotions got the best of him and he unraveled. Shower up kid. Cruuuuuuuuuuz!

    I don't know about done as a Twin, but I would like to see us start one of the young guys and move Gibson to the pen. It isn't like we are going to rely on Gibson to start a playoff game for us (assuming we make it), so why not move him to the pen now and start Thorpe (lefty).

    I confess...I turned it off after the two run homer in the top of the 12th. I was nodding off anyway...I need to watch the replay.

    I'll be shocked if Detroit wins any in Cleveland (15-1 so far). Phillies maybe win 1 of 3. So that means only 1 game in the magic number contributed by Cleveland. Meanwhile, the Twins play the White Sox who are young and improving. Twins need a win with Berrios going Monday and probably throw a rookie lineup against Giolito. If they can win 4 of the next 7 that cuts the magic number to 4. Then get the regulars back for Detroit and KC on the road. Win 3 of 6 there while Cleveland finishes up with White Sox and Washington on the road...they need to lose 2 of those. In a perfect world, wrap up the division with 3 games to go and then get some rest. I'm not counting on it though. Kepler needs to get healthy and get on track as does Cron. Post season roster should be interesting. The bullpen games have been going pretty well. Use it for the playoffs?

    If we sweep tomorrow, we really need to rest guys and get some guys healthy. Kepler is not right, Cruz is needs a rest. Cron is battling thru injury. Tomorrow's game is a must must must win for Cleveland and Bieber should shut us down, but...it's baseball and you just never know.

    Velo was back up. 93.6 for avg FB I think I read and he was topping out at 95 I believe.

    Hmmm. Well, Cleveland is 1 game out of the wildcard right now and I would like to see the Twins take out the Yankees, have Cleveland sneak in and win the wildcard playoff game, and then take out Houston with their solid pitching staff. Honestly, if those 4 teams are the last 4 standing in the AL, the Yankees and the Twins have the two worst pitching staffs from a starting pitching perspective. Indians bullpen is wobbling (and that is being kind). When it comes to the playoffs, you ride the starting staff as far as they will take you and then roll the dice on your bullpen. Pitch counts be damned! That said, I hope the Twins knock Cleveland even further down the ladder in the next 10 days.

    Gonzalez is sidelined due to a right abdominal strain, and there is no timetable for return.

    Red Sox living off the double play again tonight...that runs out eventually.

    Alter ego? I mean I can't imagine Arraez swinging at a pitch that hits him.

    Play .500 ball over the next 10 games....then play our best ball over the last 13 games.

    I hate the White Sox....but right now I love the White Sox...in about 10 days I'll hate the White Sox again.

    If the Twins were to play .500 ball the rest of the way and win 12 of 24, the Indians would have to win 19 of the 23 that they have left to win the division outright. 18 of 23 gives them a tie. So, just win Twins and we are good to go.

    That was one of the most entertaining intro's I have read. I'd volunteer to do an intro, but nothing in my life compares to that! I'm hoping fate intervened and the guy that stole the motorcycle also stole the ex-wife from the yacht guy. Meanwhile, the yacht guy rents out his yacht to a Hollywood production company which casts the Beantown buddy. During production, the thief gets spotted by the cops with ex-wife on the back and a chase ensues which results in him launching himself, the bike, and the ex-wife off a dock and into the side of the yacht causing it to sink. The only thing salvageable is the bike after fishing it out of the marina and it is now sitting in a lot somewhere waiting for you.

    Obviously a big win for the Twins and we Twins fans tend to think of every game as big, but let's take a look at things from a Cleveland perspective. Six games back. This week is make or break for them. They need to take 3 of 4 from the Sox and then take 2 of 3 from the Twins while they need the Red Sox to sweep. They really need to overtake us in the next 10 games as I see it.
