  1. We got other players to trade, sooo we might as well take a chance on players with high ceilings. Besides, none of the other realistic options really stand out to me, except for Diplan.
  2. I could see the Rockies taking a chance on Morrison, because you know.... “Coors Field Effect.” Also, I’m pretty sure their fans are tired of seeing Desmond’s athleticism wasted at 1st. At this point, I wouldn’t mind a bucket of balls.
  3. An MLBTR report said it’s possible that Milwaukee is in on both Dozier and Escobar. So if that’s the case, I’d deal them both to the Brewers for (LHP) Kodi Medeiros, (1st) Jake Gatewood, and © Mario Feliciano.
  4. Hopefully Erv pitches his way out of Minnesota (and onto a contender).
  5. Molitor managing? That’s funny. All “jokes” aside, Mollie’s the one who’s really making the on-field decisions, not Falvine, sooo don’t blame analytics for the lack of “small ball.” Blame our manager’s incompetence.
  6. “If” we trade Pressly (Rodney too I guess), maybe Pineda could be our closer in 2019. He’s definitely got the stuff.
  7. (ARI) (RHP) Yoan Lopez <—> Dozier (OAK) (UTL) Elijah White <—> Lynn (BOS) (LHP) Williams Jerez <—> Duke (WAS) © Raudy Read, (LHP) Sammy Solis <—> Odorizzi (STL) (3rd) Evan Mendoza <—> Rodney (MIL) (LHP) Kodi Medeiros, © Mario Feliciano <—> Escobar (NYY) (RHP) Dillion Tate, (RHP) Juan DePaula, (RHP) Deivi Garcia <—> Gibson (COL) (RHP) Yency Almonte <—> Morrison/Magill (SFG) (RHP) Camilo Doval <—> Grossman (LAD) (SS) Ronny Brito <—> Reed *(if healthy)*
  8. Anyone up for heckling/booing Molitor at a home game?
  9. Can we sell already? Cuz I’m getting real tired of FSN’s oblivious optimism.
  10. Updates: (NYY) (RHP) Domingo German, (RHP) Dillion Tate <—> Gibson (OAK) (SS) Richie Martin, (RHP) Carlos Ramirez <-> Odorizzi (STL) (DH) Jose Martinez <—> Rodney
  11. When it comes to free agency this offseason, I believe we should only be looking to sign Wilson Ramos and Ervin Santana. Nothing less, nothing more. I say this because I feel we should be saving for extensions and serious free agent pursuits when we’re contenders again. With the influx of talent and depth “I expect” to be aquired by the end of this year’s trade deadline, there “should” be no need to make pointless signings.
  12. If we can’t beat KC we’re sellers, right? (STL) © Andrew Knizner, (RHP) Jordan Hicks <—> Sano (ATL) (RHP) Touki Toussaint <—> Rodney/Pressly (MIL) (LHP) Kodi Medeiros, © Mario Feliciano <—> Dozier (NYY) (RHP) Dillion Tate, (UTL) Brandon Drury <--> Gibson (ARI) (RHP) Jimmie Sherfy, (RHP) Emilio Vargas <-> Escobar (OAK) (SS) Richie Martin, (RHP) Bobby Wahl <—> Odorizzi (BOS) (LHP) Williams Jerez <—> Duke (WAS) (LHP) Sammy Solis <—> Lynn (LAD) (SS) Ronny Brito <—> Reed (*if healthy*)
  13. I guess you never know, but Milwaukee might be desperate/willing enough to deal Peralta. If not, I guess we’d all know why they lost out on the Machado sweepstakes (also a rental). MN’s got nothing to lose, and everything to gain, when it comes to dealing these rentals. The fact that I can’t say the same about the Brew Crew, a team that went “all in” to start the year (and still might not make the playoffs), means we “should” have leverage in making a deal with them.
  14. How bout Dozier and Esco for Freddy Peralta? I know we’d only be getting one guy, but Freddy looks legit, and will only get better.
  15. Not even “if” Jordan Hicks/Andrew Knizner/Junior Fernandez are on the table??
  16. While trading Dozier and Escobar is obvious, maybe the FO should consider moving Sano in the offseason, because I’m sure he’d net a large return if healthy.
  17. Is anyone for the idea of trading Sano in the offseason? Of course after he shows he’s a 100% again. Cuz if we’re really sellers we gotta at least consider moving him, because I know a healthy Sano could net a large return. Maybe Sano for the Card’s Jordan Hicks, Andrew Knizner, and Junior Fernandez?
  18. If there was any hope beforehand, it better be gone now. Admit it. The season’s done.
  19. The Brew Crew could really use a veteran SP and an above average 2nd basemen right now after getting swept by Pittsburgh before the break. Maybe a package of Lynn and Dozier could bring back Freddy Peralta.
  20. I think deep down we all know there’s a zero percent chance that Machado/Harper even considers coming to Minnesota. Unless Toronto offers him a QO, maybe the FO should consider taking a chance on Donaldson, who’s capable of outhitting Machado and Harper, if healthy.
  21. Or we could “buy” right now, giving us the best shot possible to catch Cleveland. And if we fail, we can always return to being sellers.
  22. The closest comp I got to Palacios is SS Richie Martin, seems fair, maybe even a steal.
  23. Jake isn’t the type of guy that teams overpay for though, which begs the question, what is Odorizzi worth?
  24. While Odorizzi seems like a perfect fit for the Coliseum, I’m not really sure what we could get in return for him, maybe Frankie Montas?
  25. Maybe Toronto eats most, if not the entire contract, if we send back a quality prospect that’s irrelevant to our future plans, someone like Blankenhorn.
