    Sorry to break it to you, there is no chance Dylan Bundy would get traded for a bunch of so so players and Buxton. If the Twins offered Gibson, Buxton,Meyer and Parmalee they would still get turned down.Dylan Bundy is an Ace and you never give up an ace for the package you had.

    If money is not the issue why do we have such a poor starting rotation. The Twins could have become competitive in 2013 with better FA's.

    Really? Just because they are looking towards 2014 or2015 to be competitive you still need to try to put a better product on the field. Oh, and don't slash payroll like a madman and then make a couple of minor moves next season and act like that was the plan the whole time. Nothing but greed and overflowing pockets for Twins ownership. I can't wait to buy .79 cent tickets off stubhub and move into any of the empty seats near the dugouts. I guess that must be my Christmas present from Terry Ryan.

    What is the difference between Correia and his teammate last season Jeff Karstens? The Twins wasted $10M for Correia when they could probably sign Karstens to a 1YR deal for $2-3M and get either the same or better results. This is just like last year jumping to sign Jason Marquis in December.

    Could someone explain how Oakland always seems to be very competitive with their very limited payroll? And to top it off they have a farm system that continues to turn out great talent. Also, how Billy Beane can deal away all these pitchers every few years and brings in a few veterans to mix with his rookie pitchers and they still just WIN?

    I guess I must have been asleep all winter and missed all the significant that the Twins made this off season. Maybe someone could fill everyone in. Some decent moves but pretty much nothing that will be seen until 2014 at the earliest.

    Only the great Francisco Liriano could have his contract with the Pirates on hold with a RIGHT arm injury. If the Pirates can wiggle out of this mistake of a 2 YR deal they would have to be blessed. They would be better suited making a deal with the Dodgers for a couple of their extra starters like Chris Capuano and Aaron Harang. (Good thing Terry Ryan has his rotation set with his off season additions.

    If Mike Trout was drafted by the Twins in 2009 would he be starting this season at AA?

    So when will the Twins ever fast track a player to the majors? Why are we the only organization that has to wait 4-7 YRS for a prospect to develop? So many guys go from Prospect to Suspect in this organization.

    Not to mention that Span has not played a full season since 2010 with his concussion effects. I also never knew until today that Trevor May will be nothing more than bullpen help. I just hope this thread continues to grow to further my Twins knowledge.

    So we have you to blame since you must be one of Terry Ryan's advisors... If the Twins were gonna draft anyone in the Rule 5 draft they should have grabbed a pitcher who can actually throw heat. Not a guy like Pressly.

    So why are they a 96 loss team? Simply put, no starting pitching. Too bad the Twins never resigned Scott Baker like they were supposed to. He must have backed out because I read it here it was a done deal and then he ends up with the Cubs and look what we have now. A bunch of 5th starters.

    We don't have to complain if we are happy competing with the Astros and the other cellar dwelling MLB teams. Just wait when next seasons payroll is close to $55M or so without Morneau and Willingham after he is dealt. I hate to say this but Hostess may have closed its doors because they felt insulted when people referred to our Minnesota Twins as the Twinkies. Oops did I just type that and press send? Oh well...

    I guess $1.5M for Jason Frasor was too much for the Twins. Must be nice to be the Rangers who can just a RP like it's no big thing. Lucky for the Twins we have Duensing, Swarzak, and Burnett. Case closed bullpen is solid.
