  1. There are names.....some of the current chaffe could be cut though, imo, without much loss. I do agree, I would not add Buxton this year, as much as it pains me type that.
  2. 13 starts with 1 or 0 runs given up.....sounds pretty consistent to me.
  3. My five..... Arcia, Santana, Meyer, May, Buxton.....with a Rosario bonus, though he is not doing what I had hoped this year.
  4. I have seriously tried to be more positive lately. Today, I am not succeeding......
  5. Not deleting posts.....sorry. When typing up a post, there used to be a cancel button. I know it is redundant to "back" or just erasing the post, but it did make it easy for me type a tirade. Read it. And hit cancel before posting my stupidity.......
  6. Brock, did there used to be a "cancel" button by the posts? Believe it or not, I'd sometimes delete my tirades and not post them. I assume now, I should just hit "back' or something else. I liked the button, but if you are doing agile, you can put this at the bottom of your user stories......
  7. If only there was a solution to the log jams of players.......
  8. It is not about salary. Back of the pen guys should be fungible assets you can option up and down to AAA. This is one reason they have issues, imo, they do not manage the roster properly.
  9. And this is why I stopped being a dev, and am now in architecture and product ownership.....thanks for your work Brock. Really. thanks,
  10. On the mobile version, where can I see my settings?
  11. Love the new organization chart site. If someone had time, they could put in links to MiLB pages and stats and stuff.....
  12. Not sure if you care, but at my crappy work computer, it looks 100X better on IE8.........I love the new look a lot. Can't wait to explore more when I'm back home.
  13. some teams accept that the last 2-3 years are the price you pay for the first few years, and are probably not counting on value in those last few years. You can decide to be fine with that or not. $/WAR is a great measure, if you are willing to live with low WAR, you can have a low budget, but then, you'll lose more, right? If it costs $6MM for 1 WAR, and you only spend $12MM, you get 2 wins.....or, if you pay more, you get more wins. If you pay for bad pitchers, you will generally get bad pitchers. Me? I'd rather pay for good to great pitchers, and not waste money on 1-2 WAR pitchers.
  14. Looks pretty good to me. I think they try to trade down again from there, to take Carr or someone else besides Mosely. But if they stay there, I think it is between Carr and Mosely.
  15. Not bad. Looks like it could happen.
  16. I agree with the TD owners. There was no use in keeping the thread open. I have no idea what value in making the world better or more interesting continuing to pile on thrylos would serve. At no point have I ever felt the TD owners have ever protected anyone and their ability to make themselves look good or bad....
  17. Or, whoever wrote it thinks the only way to get pitching is to trade some existing MLB players, and roll the dice with young guys.....
  18. If they don't make a trade, with no 2B or SS or SP, then I don't think it will matter....
  19. Just you. Have you ever met him? Talked to him? I don't get this kind of comment at all.
  20. His stuff looks 4/5 to me, but his results say he could be a 3 long term. There aren't many 1s in the majors, less than 30 for sure......Frankly, if he's a 3/4, that's a good, valuable player. Any player can have success for a year or two, the real test to me will be next year. If this level of success is sustained, then I'll be more of a believer that he's "really" a 3. Either way, I think he's good enough to be a legit MLB starter, and the Twins should be happy he's here right now.
  21. Not sure I agree, I think Plouffe is comfy at 3B, and Valencia showed over more than 1 year whether he was good or not....
  22. So are the teams that want to trade something legit for a pitcher....
  23. I look forward to next week, when you (hopefully) rip the Twins for once again not putting a guy on the DL right away. Unreal on Plouffe (I'm assuming they'll DL him soon).....unreal on the training staff. Just unreal. Didn't TR talk about accountability throughout the organization? What does accountability mean, exactly?
