  1. I figured that, but then I had doubts. you ever have doubts? sometimes I have doubts. Even in me....
  2. Hey, let's give away outs against a great pitcher, early in the game, when our pitcher is really struggling.....
  3. Wait, did they try to sacrifice in the third inning? Really? Against one of the highest scoring teams in the league? Really not a fan. I'm guessing Jack Goin has stats that prove me wrong though.....
  4. I was wondering that..... Like, if john were me, he'd do that, or he'd do that if he was john? it is john, right?
  5. there are Jays' fans here? Otherwise, bunk. But whatever....
  6. 1 start every three weeks is pretty gradual...... I like Twins' HRs.
  7. I like Santana, he's the one I trust the most. I still don't like their odds, given the lineups and Price.....but still, I like Santana.
  8. Yes, another team would pick him up, because they'd only have to pay him the minimum, and some team will have lesser options than Sano. Yes, I'd keep Plouffe around, but he doesn't need some long extension right now to do so. Or, put Sano at 3B and Kepler at 1B.....not so hard to try for upside. But the Twins rarely go for upside, they tend to bet on decreasing down side.
  9. that would make him the only ELITE prospect on this year's list not to be a regular this year, let alone next year. No way he starts in AAA next year, unless he is AWFUL the rest of this year. It's not "rushing" him at all for him to be here. That's when ELITE players come up, not when they are 24.
  10. this, 100% this. Molitor is clearly afraid of testing youngsters w/o experience in a role. Proved it with May, Graham, and now Sano. I am losing faith he's the right guy for a rebuilding team.
  11. I'd cut him. There is no other good option for this team long term. Sano at 1B and one of Kepler, Walker, Arcia, Vargas at DH next year is a team with upside, not a team with a bad player at 1B. Mauer's not exactly great on defense either.
  12. Mauer has a 93 wRC+. Lower than league average.....so, ya, not missing much, frankly. I'd literally cut him.
  13. Nunez in the lineup....and Escobar....and Suzuki.....and Hunter. Yay!
  14. The article praised them for not trading for a catcher or short stop.......i assume trading for one next year would therefore be a mistake. Ergo my question, how do they fix those next year? I don't consider Grantland and ESPN the same, but fair. My point was that not everyone agrees it was a good deadline. Nothing more or less.
  15. And, how do you propose fixing catcher or short stop next year, if you are not allowed to trade?
  16. Except for that end part where he says it seems like a good get for the Rays, and that Hu is probably undervalued in the author's opinion, sure, it sounds great.
  17. good googly moogly. Ya, I'm losing confidence in him more and more.
  18. Ryan didn't really say he'd do Ramos for Capps, did he? come on, now you are just trying to rile me up.
  19. I agree.....but just because I think the price for a 1999 Mitsubishi Gallant is fair doesn't mean I should buy one if I can afford an actual car......
  20. Got it, thanks for clarifying. I don't consider Kepler untouchable at all, I'd just want a C or SS or controlled elite RP in return.* Otherwise, I'd rather keep him. I get your point on finding a veteran FA OF, I don't trust Ryan to find a good one. *in some package, not implying Kepler by himself can fix those holes.....
  21. I think it is amusing that those that usually defend TR for NOT TRADING prospects are now typing "prospects never work out anyway".....does no one else see the irony in this?
