    I used to say the same thing about -20......but I don't feel that way anymore. You CAN be outside doing stuff when it is 100 and not humid...and it cools down at night. I don't like it, but it is still better than -20 for me. I have zero interest in being where it is COLD, unless I am skiing or hiking on purpose in the cold....

    If the young guys play well, and they go .550 the rest of the way? So, if everything goes right, will I continue to say they are bad? I honestly don't know what I'd think if that happened. I think it would have to be driven by guys that are younger, and not by sequencing, and not by huge BABIP numbers for me to have a lot of faith in the reality. But I really don't know how confident I'd be in next year. They burned me badly last year, even with my lower expectations for this year......

    Both. I pay for Motely Fool's stock advisor. It has more than paid for itself. But, that's just written advice, I still make up my own mind. I also have an adviser helping with some retirement items, but I also use them because they gave me access to a cheap loan to help start my wife's business. Realistically? Most people should do the following: invest the max in retirement, in index type funds Make sure they have 5-10K in cash available for emergencies Invest the rest in things they know about, but probably just in funds. Most people aren't patient enough to stick to an individual stock. That said, if you have money to risk, gambling it in the stock market can be profitable (or not), and I will keep doing it (and encouraging my sons to do so also).

    I can't see them delivering that many, if they do, the price is much too low right now.....but I have doubts. I keep trying to figure out the 100K.......If I had bought munis 2 weeks ago, I'd be happier right now. I really want to invest it in a REIT or three.....but I can't get myself to pull the trigger on any decision.

    TSLA.....not so good. NVIDIA.....I keep adding more stock, and it keeps going up. I have around 100K from the house sale, which I'd like to keep relatively safe, but still have invested. There are not, with these interest rates, many options.......wish I had bought munis 2 weeks ago....

    the Sox are very quick to promote pitchers, and given their success with pitchers, it is hard to question their process. I am surprised he didn't spend 2 weeks in A ball, but I am not surprised they are trying to get him to Chicago this year.

    We might really like Thorpe's potential.....but they are loaded with pitching potential, he's been hurt A LOT, and he's never pitched above A ball.......I think if there is a crunch at all, he has to be left off. Palka, Jorge, Romero are, imo, locks. Very likely: Granite (he would be lost, imo), 1 of the 2 catchers (probably Garver), Veilma Also likely: the other catcher, Wheeler (not for me, but for this FO)

    Great to see all these promotions! If Palka becomes a legit MLB player, it will be one of the all time great trades.

    Would love to see them move the RPs faster......these guys tend to burn out. Great list, now they just have promote them and trust them.

    It has been an amazingly bad series of outcomes. No one predicted this. It's kind of hard to believe how badly most of it has gone. It's not just the number of things that have gone badly......it is (for me) that they've gone so far bad. We could expect Sano to regress, but not like he was. Or, we could expect Jepsen to be less than he was last year, but not that much less. Mind. Boggled.

    The guy can deal, they sure have an exciting assortment of SP in A+/AA.

    and, you won't attract the super casual fan w/o a great team anyway, so planning around them is probably not a great idea if you value consistency in your revenue stream. The prices? Not great....not great at all.

    4/25......plus Vargas sort of....and I think Arcia was......so, about 20% which isn't awfully far off (and I'm only counting the ones that they were the original MLB team for....they have others they have acquired otherwise, ---- Abad, Ervin Santana, Nunez, so they are on/above the league average). Given the numbers, perhaps more managerial staff that weren't white Americans would be a good idea......

    Fair, and I did put an asterisk in my comment and say "if he's saying that", which I doubted he was........It is clearly a combination of many, many things, as the owner so accurately put it a few weeks ago.
