  1. Then the second or third best. And I understand everyone will have to spend. No one should want to go to Tampa.....
  2. Murray's average season is better than anything they've had in Minnesota since cousins. And this defense is real. I'll take 8 wins easy. Easy.
  3. This. But, hey, they didn't sell at the deadline, so they are really trying hard to win, by starting Roden and not calling up Rodriguez or Jenkins....
  4. I guess they could have not drafted Jenkins and Lackey..... And Houston and Culpeper and Lee.... Even though they'll all add more WAR than a pitcher.
  5. No team sits Buxton at this point. IL? Maybe, but not likely. He's a star when healthy, and teams play stars.
  6. A small group here want to get rid of him, and he's going to hit 25 bombs after a slow start.
  7. I see. Roden is in the lineup, again. There's no room for Jenkins though..... Or so I was told over and over after Martin went down.
  8. Saints highlights. https://www.milb.com/st-paul/video/topic/t1960-default-vtp You can find others with a quick search.
  9. I did a lot of math earlier this year, and you'd be surprised how little most pitchers, other than truly elite starters, matter. Lopez is likely worth three wins, over the full year, over his replacement. Remember, though, Abel is his replacement, so you can't count those wins twice. Festa, Banda, and Sands combined just aren't worth much more over a full season than other RP. Their in game samples are tiny and go both positive and negative.
  10. I really don't get this gripe. If you draft good hitters and trade them for good pitchers, that works. If you trade relief pitchers your developed for SP, that likely works better, because you are trading for more sure things than if you draft them This idea that somehow they've failed at having good starting pitchers just isn't borne out when looking at their standings in pitching. It's average or better.
  11. I have a feeling this ten win team will be stuck in no man's land for a QB again next off-season.
  12. Given what we've seen, I want a new QB coach. I'm also not convinced the HC is good for younger QBs. But I think he's a good HC overall. Not great.... But good
  13. There are so many variables here, I think it is a hard exercise. I think you are on to something.
  14. Great read! Timney has been pretty good so far! The power is real. It's impossible to know much about a hitter from normal stats in St Paul, I'd guess. Kendle is on an amazing run. I have to read about him more.
  15. Hahaha. They literally get guys hired from them to teams, teams pay Szym for his work, they have former scouts on their payroll. You literally couldn't be wrong if you tried.
  16. Lee called for the ball, said it was a good throw, if your are talking about that play. Took full responsibility for the play. Maybe he's being a good teammate? Maybe I'm going to take his comments as true.
  17. Kremer has been infinity better than I thought. Good for them. Have a great night everyone.
  18. Ya. That was awful. Do not draft a QB who's offense was not built around him. Simple.
  19. If there is a floor, they should sign the best SP.
  20. Someone is arguing with me that Murray and Wentz already get hurt, so they should keep him. To which I reply, why? They aren't winning anything meaningful with McCarthy. That seems clear at this point, alas.
