  1. It's a great site overall. I have a few issues, but I don't expect them to change.
  2. We certainly learned Martin and Roden are backups. Morris and Gomez are good, though RP is unstable year over year often. Bradley is legit. Lee and Culpeper likely are. Clemens is a backup on a good team. Keaschell can hit but not field. Those are the things we learned. I think. I still think the jury is out on Lewis. Buxton can't be relied on, so one of your everyday OF besides him needs to be a legit CF..... You basically must have three legit starting OF in addition to him on the roster. We also learned this organization has learned nothing about playing with a short bench.
  3. Contention was never the top priority? That's my guess. They gave up two legit prospects to try to sell tickets, for pitchers no one cares about, when all they had to do was call up young guys and sell them.....
  4. Deference to stars, trying for another year of control of Jenkins, stubbornness, inability to admit mistakes. I can go on if you want....
  5. How Raya isn't up getting a serious look is beyond me.
  6. Really bummed I was right that they should have sold. Now they are down two legit prospects and didn't add more. It was clear they weren't serious when Jenkins wasn't up weeks ago. Now? Leave him down I guess for the year of control? Rodriguez should be up and playing center the rest of the year. IL Buxton, waive Bell, and DH Keaschell. I don't care what they do about Roden.
  7. Hahaha. I listen to plenty of rational people I disagree with.
  8. Who? Some person that I'm ignoring for lots of reasons? Don't know that person.
  9. too bad they don't have a CF in the minors that could be out there....
  10. Almost no one goes 7 innings much anymore, but if he is healthy next year, I think we'll all be very happy with how he does. I can't believe he's pitched this much this year, and I was totally wrong about moving him to the BP.
  11. It has never worked out, yet they do it year after year. Just like refusing to IL him right away, and playing with a shorter bench. Over and over. No matter who the manager and GM are. WTF?
  12. I didn't love the pick, for injury and conditioning reasons......and I've hated nearly every first round pick for years now....so, that's not relevant.
  13. hahahaha. Any org that hasn't actually prepped this decision is badly run. They must know what they are doing, just not telling anyone yet. No org could be so badly run they don't know what they will do. To be ridiculously generous, they are likely waiting for Buck to proclaim himself healthy or not, before announcing anything, but that is not the same as not having a decision......
  14. McCarthy and a fifth for a third? Not that anyone is doing that....
  15. Agreed. If they were serious, he'd be up already. If they call him up now, someone needs to ask WTF was going on the last few weeks.
  16. Buxton hasn't been healthy since he returned, and has been bad. Larnach hasn't hit at all since June. This is not a serious front office and ownership group. Not even close.
  17. It's not just him. They've had very few impact rookies.
  18. I'm also beginning to wonder if koc can coach young players....
  19. If they ever plan to platoon Jenkins, they should either fold as an organization, or trade him to a team that understands how elite players are used.
