  1. This is what happens when you gut payroll and your draft picks are hurt or you refuse to promote hitters and keep terrible players instead.
  2. The two injured guys. And probably a few others, but the erod injury is having real implications.
  3. This team should have been blown up before the year. It's not close. Also, they DFA SWR, but Bell and Outman are here... So don't give me fake me news about accountability.
  4. Other than Morris, would you really miss any of these guys in a year or two? If so, how is the bullpen this awful?
  5. This is a very win now move .... Unless there is something wrong physically..... That can't be fixed. But at least we have a bunch of old guys who aren't part of the future!
  6. Option someone else.....or DFA one of the terrible bullpen guys who isn't part of the future potentially.
  7. I have no idea, but I'm glad it's an outsider.
  8. Option a guy. Seriously. Also, they refuse to do this with awful hitters that have never been good. I can't wait for this team to be sold and new management.
  9. Why would you give up on a 25 year old who was decent for two years? And keep old guys who haven't been good ever? WTF is going on with this club?
  10. I was searching prospect lists trying to see who would trade what for Ryan....weird thing. The best teams actually play rookies, not Josh Bell, and Outman. The twins have one second year prospect and zero rookies among hitters. Just brutal.
  11. Perusing playoff team lists of prospects, and oddly many of them are actually fielding rookies, not Josh Bell, Outman, et. al...... Many of the top prospects are in the majors.... Not in Minnesota! Zero, zero, rookie hitters and only one last year.....
  12. Move to first, though I'd rather Keaschell go there eventually. I think.
  13. I was just chastised by another poster for saying they are old and the defense is bad .... So thanks! They have two young hitters on the roster. Zero rookies. That's not going to work for a mid market team, ever. They are getting no one ready for next year, so they'll sign more awful old players again unless they start changing their approach to development.
  14. That's just not realistic. If you only have fun if you are the one team that wins.... You're not going to have much fun in life. IMO. Sure, try to win! But that's not realistic every year for every team. Also, winning isn't always good for bad teams....If the stupid Vikings didn't win meaningless games a couple years ago, Drake Maye world be their QB ...
  15. What's his trade value next year if there is a stoppage? Even veterans are possibilities..... This is bells worst year, for example.
  16. No mid market team has win the WS in over twenty years, I think. A realistic goal is an exciting, very good team. Imo.
  17. What's the success rate for mid market teams not trading guys? Frankly, it's not good either.
