  1. And yet, that was gray's best year and got him paid.....
  2. It's how Tampa and Milwaukee are thriving. Trading guys and getting guys back that are cheap. This ownership group has been cutting costs for three years do we think they'll sign a pitcher into his mid thirties?
  3. Zero chance he's a Short stop in the majors, imo. But he's an exciting prospect, and I wish he was playing OF or first nearly all the time.
  4. Floor and it isn't close. Anything that helps the players more....
  5. I'm pleasantly surprised at the run production, but also a bit skeptical it continues. But at least they are playing games that might matter. I'm fascinated at the anti falvey posts, when every player actually contributing but one was acquired by him, or earlier. He built this SP staff.
  6. How many outs does he catch in the OF martin wouldn't? Because he's going to make four or five as a hitter. Is one catch every three games worth zero hits?
  7. What young position players are playing? It's all older players. Keaschell is the only young player..
  8. Four or five automatic outs with Outman batting.... How many plays can only he make and not Martin or Fedko or Kriedler in a game? It's less than four....
  9. I'd have preferred he DH one day, but oh well. Looking forward to his long career.
  10. It's sad Jeffers wants to get paid more? He's not close to those guys, come on. It's sad the billionaire owners who didn't work for the money at all, but inherited it, won't pay going rates.
  11. Because Jeffers will want a ton of money and this ownership group is cutting payroll? I'll be happy to be wrong about Clemens, but I still have doubts. I like Kriedler as defensive sub for the next few years if he hits at all. I don't need to see Gray more..
  12. Certainly removing those two should help, but they were on last year's team, so how do we judge the previous manager for that? I'm not defensive, I'm stating that imo people have short memories for how bad most winning percentage have been for this team's managers... People also have a tendency to rate managers great when teams are winning, when it's really the players. I'm happy we can disagree politely! Have a great day.
  13. It's one of the worst defenses in the game. That's an interesting choice....
  14. The current roster was not even close to predicted to be the worst team. Not by any national site I saw.
  15. The manager who won a playoff series? With a winning percentage over .500? I really think people have forgotten how bad most managers have been for this team, winning wise.... And that's with the GM destroying the team after the break last year.
  16. Please DFA Outman. This post brought to you by Scottish IPA, whisky, and gin.
  17. How he's playing over GG? Is GG still up? I'm in Scotland, so losing track. Sox are not great this year!
  18. The fangraphs prospect guys say August is most likely. Their roster resource guys think they might keep him down all year to see if he can win rookie of the year next year. I'd call him up this year, so he can prep for next year... Unsure when.
  19. Whose saying don't play young? Mendez is healthy, erod is never so. That's huge. A healthy erod is likely a better player though.
