  1. If Soto is in Minnesota in two years, I'll be shocked. He's missing the whole season this year, isn't he?
  2. Well, none of them have put on a 1B glove yet.......so I don't know. I mean, I'd consider it! But actions speak loudly, imo.
  3. How about wrc+ or even OPS+ (which isn't great) You can't just look at BA and ignore everything else about offense.
  4. IMO, Winokur will never play SS for MN. He should be in teh OF or first base at this point. Unless you think he'll beat out Culpepper and Houston, which would bode poorly for them...... DeAndrade? I like him a lot more than the Twins seem to, but he's barely playing SS. Challenge Houston at high A. He's not young, he's played against about that level already......
  5. Call up Cardenas and have him catch 1/3 of the time, and DH 1/3 of the time.....
  6. We really need to stop looking only at BA.......though, yes, that needs to be a bit higher for comfort.
  7. Wallner would have 1.5 fWAR if he'd been healthy all year. What is it people have against this guy?
  8. And yet people quote this stat like it has some great meaning......
  9. I hope the headline tomorrow isn't "Kriske creamed."
  10. I mean, even most decent to good teams aren't as good against other good teams. I've never quite understood this take, that all the good teams have great W-L records against other good teams.
  11. I hope Williams is ok going forward......
  12. they are both higher in fWAR. Jeffers would be higher if they'd just let him catch 60% of the time.......Wallner was hurt, and has 72 games. Put him at 85 at the fangraphs rate, and he's around 1.5 (not great, not replacement level).
  13. Agreed. My point is.....there aren't many positions they'll look to fill from outside next year. C and great RH OF that can hit and field are about it, IMO (since no one trades for a 1B prospect). That limits the number of teams you deal Ryan to. There also aren't many contenders with budgets that have multiple top 50-100 prospects. I was shocked that Ford wasn't traded this deadline.......
  14. Of course, neither Jeffers nor Wallner are close to replacement level.....
  15. Roden is a LOCK for the team next year, IMO, and Larnach is nearly a lock to be part of a trade, imo.
  16. I'm going to put about 60% of that on the Twins, and 40 on him......but ya, if he could be castro-lite next year, that would be great. And, ya, the ball if flying. Now Roden?
  17. Keaschell looked legit on that double play!
  18. diving catch. It's free on mlb.com today.....
