  1. Fangraph's report: (109th on their list) TLDR Canterino will regularly show a plus fastball/breaker combo, but there's some effort and relief risk. This spring he's dialed down the stuff a bit and the strike throwing is better. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/2019-mlb-draft?sort=-1,1&type=0&team=&pagenum=2
  2. Fangraph's report: TLDR Big college corner OF with huge power, strong statistical performance and arm strength. Full Report Wallner hit for power all three years of college, even while pitching part time as a freshman and sophomore. He has some of the most explosive raw thump in the entire class, and will hit balls 10 rows into the bleachers even when he doesn't get fully extended. He has some moderate swing-and-miss issues characteristic of hitters who have power-driven approaches, but he's also willing to take a walk. His is a traditional right field profile, and he's in the mix with late first, early second round college power bats. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/2019-mlb-draft?sort=-1,1&type=0&team=
  3. Fangraphs report: TLDR The best popup guy in the class, Cavaco went from on the radar to a likely day one pick with the progress he's made in February and early March. Full Report A growth spurt bouyed Cavaco's tools and draft stock, as he's this year's most prominent pop-up high school prospect. He may have the best frame in the entire draft but has already grown into considerable power, which he gets to in games despite an awkwardly-timed stride. At times clumsy on defense, Cavaco may still be growing into his new body. He may end up at second or third base (where he played as an amateur) or get a try in center field if his hands and actions don't improve. He's one of the draft's higher risk, higher reward prospects. https://www.fangraphs.com/prospects/the-board/2019-mlb-draft?sort=-1,1&type=0&team=
  4. They better be great at developing pitching......
  5. What magic? They have not needed to go under slot in any draft yet to make any signings. Got no issue with the pick, but not what I expected.
  6. Ryan 8:17 Twins take cavaco now that Jung is off the board or could another college bat interest them? Eric A Longenhagen 8:17 have to think they take a long look at stott if he's there
  7. Corey 7:07 Is there a team that because you admire their draft acumen or philosophy, you are excited to see who they take? Dodgers, Astros, etc? Eric A Longenhagen 7:07 those teams, LAA, MIN, NYY, we'll learn a lot about ARI tonight too
  8. I tried watching once. When I was a sports freak. It almost killed me from boredom. No trades. Too long between picks. It was brutal.
  9. bombas: do you see the twins cutting a deal under slot? Keith Law: I know they’ve considered it (why not?) but I think they go slot for Stott or Langeliers. Kedelbro: Is Wilson to Twins the backup plan if Stott/Langeliers unavailable? Keith Law: Yeah, I think that’s about right. Denise: I have heard that the college pitching crop is the worst in a long time, do you think this is so? Keith Law: Absolutely. The worst I’ve ever covered/been involved in, and this is my 18th draft. http://meadowparty.com/blog/2019/06/03/klawchat-6-3-19/
  10. If the twins could trade a FV45 for a number three starter, they should do that right now.
  11. I can't imagine getting a number three starter for that......
  12. The combination of your user name and post is awesome....
  13. Episode one of Good Omens was good. I am attempting what I call slow binge watching..... Trying to watch one episode a week.
  14. King of Monsters not getting ideal reviews.....
  15. Good Omens today!
  16. Garver can DH and play first, agreed? I think they even used him in right field in the minors?
  17. They didn't need to save money the Lewis year, they could have signed everyone later.... That said, save money if you can.
  18. They signed all that offense this off season, and only managed a field goal. Of course, unlike the Vikings, they made the field goal....
  19. this all seems correct to me, except maybe the timing on Cruz......
  20. I know it isn't for everyone, but we just finished season 3 of the Magicians. Camp, violence, magic, drugs, angst.......but what I really like is that it continues to surprise me. That's about as important as good writing for me......
  21. Sano has an OPS over 1000 since his return. What, exactly, are you looking for, expecting? By Fangraphs offensive measure, he's hitting like a top 5 3B in all the league.....
  22. I agree, the FO seems to be doing well with the rules this year, though the Cruz thing is a bit hard to understand at this point....
  23. Every time I read people say so and so is untouchable,I look at Romero's numbers this year..... And wonder why anyone thinks anyone is untouchable....
