  1. The Angels selected all pitchers. Wow.
  2. Fast reply! Lots of releases already happen, but more will happen after all these signings. Two notes: 1. Teams can have HUGE amounts of players at complex 2. With all the weirdness of 2020, expect a lot of pitchers to simply get shut down until 2022.
  3. Kevin Goldstein of Fangraphs.
  4. I've asked a national writer on Twitter, we'll see if he replies....
  5. Taking injured guys, might allow them to put them on an injured list and not a roster? Meaning they have room for more players? How many guys do teams have room to add given the reduction in minor league teams?
  6. I mean, I'm a pitching guy....but they probably could take a hitter or two at some point.....Where are they even going to find space for all these arms? (I'm guessing most will just be shut down for the year, frankly, outside some work at the minor league complex to see their stuff more closely)
  7. Other than CF, they pretty much did the positions I asked for. Congrats to the first 10 picks, and good luck to them.
  8. I'm surprised no catcher yet......
  9. None taken......but we all should think sometimes about this kind of thing. He thinks he wants an office job (the normal hours and more pay)....but he has leadership that loves him and his degree, and if his plan works, he'll make a very good salary in 2 years.
  10. My son works at one, you'd be surprised who all works at one......
  11. I still can never remember Nebraska is in the Big XXX.
  12. I thought that too....but he's not a very highly ranked QB (no idea why he'd go to Clemson to sit for 2 years).....so, maybe?
  13. Three pitchers and a SS......looks like run prevention is the theme this year.
  14. Goldstein: Don't know this kid. Big. Not much velo. This is what happens in round 3.....
  15. At this point, they pretty much have agreements in place before they pick a guy, from what I read and hear.
  16. Goldstein gives Pittsburgh a 70% chance of signing Chandler....
  17. I got the shakes .... but we'll see if this time it works!
  18. Listening to Goldstein......great starting point to get this guy at 61....needs work. Good upside play. A LONG way to go. Everything beyond the FB needs work. A lot of room to grow. (re-posted from draft thread, for those that won't go there). Goldstein works at Fangraphs, and used to be in a front office.
  19. Listening to Goldstein......great starting point to get this guy at 61....needs work. Good upside play. A LONG way to go. Everything beyond the FB needs work. A lot of room to grow.
  20. In reading the Fangraphs coverage, they make it clear teams are all over the board in their rankings. VERY different than football for sure.
  21. Ya, Chandler would be financially nuts for not going to play college football at this point. I'm hoping more CF/SS and pitching (and a catcher) today.
  22. According to Kevin Goldstein at Fangraphs, who worked in a FO, yes, they almost certainly have an agreement already. With both players.
  23. I'm glad they went pitcher, SS. NO idea on if either individual is the right choice, but I like the positions. I'm hoping for more defense and pitching as they go, and certainly at least one catcher.
