  1. The thought crossed my mind, but we are talking the Twins here..... I'm guessing a combo of Gordon and Polanco. Why not play Gordon there and see what happens. We already know what Polanco can do. Now, I don't think Gordon is an every day MLB SS.....imagine if they had taken Turner there. Sigh.
  2. 8 of the Twins top 10 prospects are in AA or AAA, according to FGs.....this isn't a tear down. Yet (hopefully not at all).
  3. And it isn't like 59th best prospect is bad......It is great.
  4. I'm betting Mets or Padres .....and about that spot....a guy rated 120-200 or so. 45 FV on the scout scale. Moving Simmons creates lots of questions of who plays SS this year.
  5. Well, SS can usually move to CF, LF, 3B, 2B, or stay at SS.......What would you expect to get for 1 player?
  6. Fangraphs is sliding Martin down to 59th on their list! We'll get a write up later today.....
  7. I hope they don't deal Maeda or Buxton....but Pineda is a fit there.......
  8. I think Martin is the sure* thing here, and the pitcher is riskier for sure.......Do they need pitching? Yes. But they also need hitters and fielders. *no player is a sure thing....
  9. Cruz was a FA.....why keep him? All these players were once prospects......
  10. But, but, he's the best! I think this shows his value according to MLB teams.......
  11. 7th or so? Fangraphs has him 11th before this deal. If they get a good prospect for Pineda, he might be as low as 14th there......
  12. He was a great player and seemingly teammate. He was 100x better than anyone could have expected for that draft slot. Good luck to him, he'll be missed.
  13. True for sure. They've been abysmal at that. Hoping this starts to change this year/next. If not......
  14. Their newest pitching prospect is also in the Olympics......
  15. Fair, but that post I responded to said Martin would never do anything in the majors pretty much......We all have our preferences, but really?
  16. I will also. No matter what they get, I'll be very disappointed they deal him. I truly think this roster can compete next year, with some luck in the bullpen, and by signing or trading for a legit SP or two.
  17. I would have loved Abrams for sure......I just didn't think he was available. Also, the Pads have no SP I know I want....
  18. I think this is 100% unfair in this deal. Berrios was clear he was going to FA next year. They got a top 20 prospect, and a top 50-60 prospect, both in AA. I get being cynical, but this is not a good take, imo.
  19. I want them to keep Buxton, very much. I'd have to be 100% BLOWN AWAY to trade him. He's a legit difference maker, in a sport where that is hard to be.
  20. I think he's insurance at CF, SS, and maybe LF.......I hope they sign Buxton. I don't want a full blow up.
  21. Given FG and mlb.com have Martin in their top 25 overall, I think you are low on him. This is his first year in professional baseball, and he's hitting well (not great) in AA, and playing both SS and CF.......
