  1. so what does any of that have to do with the placeholder they sign? You wanted Kirk gone, he's gone. What do you expect now? "at least average" for the placeholder? So, a top 15-20 QB overall? That's your expectation of a backup?
  2. placeholder. What do people expect now that Kirk is gone?
  3. 76 million, so Hunter is gone I'd bet.....and that's more than I was hoping to read by at least 5 million a year.
  4. I am fairly confident 8 at bats means nothing..... I am also fairly confident this guy can play, and while he's very unlikely to reproduce last year's numbers (would have been the 2nd best LFer in the game over a full season), he's also, imo, very unlikely to be below average for the year. I think he's a legit player for this team for years to come.
  5. Vikings sign Jonathan Greenard, who had an unsustainably high sack rate last year (as a % of pressures).....they needed edge, so if it isn't huge money, this should be good.
  6. HS pitchers rarely work for any team, this isn't a Twins issue at all.
  7. Kiriloff moved around some, but he's been a first baseman nearly full time for two years now.
  8. Agreed, I like their posts generally, but I keep reading this front office doesn't care about defense and they don't put players at positions.... And yet, of the fielders they developed, all of them have stayed put, other than trying Lewis in the outfield. That said, no idea why Martin played so much SS.... And so little OF.
  9. Facts. Stop with the facts. Pretty sure Wallner moved all over the field too, not. Jeffers? Nope . And the CF and RF were already hery and then there's the SS.... Which player was this other poster even talking about?
  10. Happy to see Martin in the outfield.
  11. Best third TE in the game, apparently
  12. Nope. I am a huge fan, but nope.
  13. I'm guessing around tenth best hitting LF this year.
  14. That was my thought as well. If Wallner starts at least 120 games a year, that's a regular
  15. Decisions like that are often less than rational.....
  16. I agree with your disagree.
  17. I'm beginning to suspect Keith has some doubts about this team....
  18. Brett 2:02 Have Julien and Wallner shown enough that they can be trusted as regulars? Keith Law 2:02 I don't think so. Both look like platoon players, especially Wallner.
  19. Jason 1:52 Brooks Lee has looked great in spring training. any chance he makes the opening day roster? move Julien to 1st and slide Lee to 2nd? Keith Law 1:52 Also would be very foolish.
  20. Mike 1:43 None prospect question....but the Twins sure are betting a lot on a healthy Paddock and Descalfini after losing Gray. Is this really going to work (in the post season if they get there)? Keith Law 1:44 Paddack has never thrown 150 innings in a professional season, and he's only made 20 starts in a season twice (2019 and 2021). Banking on him as a starter is irrational.
  21. Not a fan unless he's taking near nothing. They have so many holes without plans, and safety is not one of those. It's not like he was good last year.
  22. Another position with a great player and options behind him. Exciting!
