    How many relief pitchers in their prime are available? You begged them to add RPs.... There aren't a bunch of 29 year old free agents ...

    What are the odds your backup also gets hurt? How many major league backups are in AAA on most teams? Very few. Losing Lee is a blow As for polanco, if I had to trade someone, it would have been Kepler and Vazquez....

    I feel bad for the team and fans. First the owner cuts payroll, then they just keep losing their best players. With their replacements also hurt in the minors..... Just a brutal few months.

    He should sue the hell out of the agency and every athlete should leave them. Seriously awful job by them.

    I mean, he can't hit as badly as last year.....but I'm not sure I'd say he's earned his money this year (luck or not, it hasn't worked). I expect him (as many of us said in the off season) to be much better than he was last year, given his career. CC? He's great.

    Here's the example for me.... Starter goes eight innings and gives up zero runs. Leaves with a one run lead... The relief pitcher gives up a run, and then the team scores in the bottom of the ninth. The starter gets no win.... Even though what changed happened after he left the game. The win stat doesn't tell us anything about how either pitcher did. For all it's flaws, quality start tells us a lot more.

    Not sure I get that last part.... Guy pitches seven innings of one run ball, his team doesn't score, he gets a loss..... Other guy gives up five runs but his team scores six, he gets a win....

    Those are two different points .. Needing lots of help, and the salary cap...

    They have almost infinite cap space next year. That's not an issue going forward for some time. Now, JJ might not want to be in Minnesota, that could be an issue. But he's locked in for at least three years if they franchise him....

    Wins are a stupid stat for individuals in a team game. Just get rid of them. I realize that isn't a popular opinion....

    They didn't trust the young guys last year, but when they had to promote them, they carried they team. Stop signing bad veterans. They clog everything up.

    I have no interest in Margot in over Wallner. Zero. I remain convinced Santana was an error, which they won't admit fast enough. Not thrilled about a lot of decisions right now.
