  1. Play Jeffers every day they can. He's just so much better. This is the playoffs, not the long season. This isn't about depth anyone, it's about the best players playing more. Fangraphs ran data on this over and over..... Teams that have elite players, but less depth, do better in the playoffs than the regular season.
  2. I'd blow it up and start over, but most teams should do that and don't. It's much harder to fix in baseball than other sports and you lose a lot of ticket sales by not trying.
  3. Which has nothing to do with my question..... What evidence is there a player can force their way onto the team without an injury? Because it looks like a myth to me.
  4. Terrible talent, and over rated coaching?
  5. What does "force his way" mean? Because Julien was sent down, as was Wallner after coming up. Severino dominated the minors this year, not up. What would a player have to do, beyond OPS over 1.000 and play elite defense (like Martin) and be able to steal at will? How does he "force his way" if Julien and Polanco are on the roster, given they sent Julien down the first time when Polanco came back? This idea that the Twins have guys force their way up seems like a myth to me. They only come up with injuries....and sit in AAA until then as depth.
  6. Tampa is the team that should deal for Kirk
  7. shocker. This D has no talent almost.
  8. I'm fairly confident they agree....fairly. (on the last part)
  9. One of my biggest disappointments is that the coach didn't learn from last year.....on third and short, get the first down. Don't throw bombs. Seriously. Ball possession. It really is mind bogglingly bad.
  10. Sure, but the NFL is the most conservative sport of them all. They still punt all the time. They still don't go for two often. They rarely even trade for guys in the off season. If a team ever embraced being aggressive, they'd have an advantage.
  11. Agreed. The offense is fixable, or more accurately, maintainable, in a year if they get the right QB
  12. I just don't see anyone trading for Kirk during the year. Who is?... Hunter and Osborn? Yes. If someone will take 22, though I wouldn't as he's done, you deal him too. Deal anyone on defense but pace. The first draft was terrible. This one was fine. They need to be better.
  13. No. Yes. Too soon to know.
  14. Why are they trying to get a play in? Spike the damn ball. Be a leader.
  15. "Only once in the past 25 years has a team made the playoffs after starting 0-3 or 0-2-1 (the 2018 Texans). It also happened three times in the '90s and twice in the '80s."
  16. They literally had no idea what to do there, and Kirk is a fifteen year veteran. Unreal. Just awful.
  17. Nice defense. Poor Kirk
  18. Winston makes Love lol like the best QB ever. Packers going to win this somehow
  19. Refs working hard for Green Bay now
  20. Really should have traded Hunter in the off season. Oh well.
  21. Holy cow Jordan love is terrible. Easiest fourth down completion ever and he misses the guy
  22. They learned nothing from last year. Nothing.
  23. Did they throw deep on third and short again?
  24. NO defensive backs are good. Yes, I'm stuck watching that game
