  1. Hard to see anything helping him thrive given the last few years ..... I really, really, want to be wrong here....
  2. 33rd right now, but does that change if others are signed? I'd guess so....
  3. Ya, this is a bit of an indictment of themselves....
  4. to be clear, I have no idea if Hall can play or not....but I have a pretty good idea about Dobbs.
  5. Also, both backup QBs will be on the game day roster, which says a lot about their confidence in Dobbs (and Hall being available).
  6. Nah, trust the veteran is the issue....I doubt this is about Hall much at all.
  7. Agreed MLB has an issue, ,but it's not the players' responsibility to fix it (as you say).
  8. bonkers? Like 4 guys have signed legit deals.....
  9. ya, these old guys are ridiculous. It's none of our business at all.
  10. With Dobbs at QB, I'm going with 3 turnovers in the first half.....
  11. What? Almost nothing happened at the meetings. Almost no signings, few trades. IS this a real post? Seriously, I''m asking if this is a real post or a joke post? Because every baseball writer says the same thing....nothing happens at these meetings anymore hardly.
  12. Ya, this idea he'd get a QO is insanity, imo. He's not that good, never has been.
  13. I mean, if that's what you can get for Kepler....unless you are using the money to sign a legit star, you keep him.....
  14. I bet a lot of teams wished they'd offered that to Ohtani..... He's a 25 yo likely ACE. That's worth an insane amount of money. They have all the data on his pitches they need to know if he's likely to be good or not....
  15. Someone explain the obsession with acquiring RH hitters? Lewis, CC, and Jeffers all hit RH. Polanco is a switch hitter. Or is this just about the player, which, why are the Rays trading him? Why are the Twins giving up assets for a guy that plays the position Lewis plays (or Julien at first, or AK or Miranda)? Get an OF or a C or a SP. I don't know why a team with budget constraints gives up assets for a guy that plays a position they have covered, most likely has covered.
  16. Dang, I would have guessed Knee blown out and ankle injury. Hopefully he's back for the playoffs (i Just like healthy teams and humans).
  17. That looked very bad. Yikes.
  18. Cleveland isn't dealing for a veteran like Polanco or Kepler.
  19. Low bar. Now if they only had a coach that understood offense....
  20. I actually am beginning to think they and Detroit are the three best teams in teh NFL.....and the Cowboys are also good, and GB is trending right. At the same time KC and Buffalo and Cincy are not....
  21. I agree with those that say they are freeing up money to sign a legit SP and then deal a current pitcher for better players than they gave up.
  22. Looking like they are going with Dobbs, and I am not amused. It's Zimmer all over again. Seriously, between this and getting all conservative at the end of games, I am wondering who the coach even is at this point.
