  1. I could see Farmer (I wouldn't do that), but are you replacing Vazquez with a cheap vet, or Camargo? Just curious, and we agree on Santana for sure, even with the current roster. That's not going to go well.
  2. Fair enough, we'll definitely disagree on that (and where are you paying for this given their constraints?).
  3. Yup, but the O's are in a different spot (budget, team quality, depth), and I'm asking....would YOU trade 5 years of Julien plus more for 1 of Burnes if you were the Twins FO?
  4. You're suggesting trading 5 years of Julien and more for 1 year of Burnes? Yikes. Sure, the Brewers say yes to that all day, but no way the TWins should have done that. No way.
  5. When I read the writeups on Fangraphs, all I can think "how are they rated this high with all the issues?"
  6. So much risk, so much potential reward. Frankly, glad I don't need to make this decision.
  7. Monarch is still confusing to me, and there is just too many issues for me to love it. Reacher - yup, finished, same as season one, mostly. It's fine for what it is.
  8. Just finished Picard, and wow, so much stupid there isn't enough storage on the internet for me to post all my examples....just, wow. Started Wednesday last night, and it's already very good one episode in.
  9. Which good SP is available, from a team needing immediate help at 2B, that would be traded? Seattle isn't dealing their good SP..... Who else is out there that we are so sure they could just trade a potential star hitter with 5 years of control and get value in return?
  10. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/2024-top-100-prospects/ Lee third among Minnesota prospects! And a pitcher cracks the top 100.....
  11. That's a lot of words to state the most obvious thing ever. Wallner was one of the best left fielders in the game last year. How is this a discussion?
  12. I can see this if I squint. They have some great upside on offense for sure. And if the bullpen is really the best in baseball, that will be huge.
  13. so you are ok having a guy you plan to have pitcher 2-3 innings when Paddock pitches? I'm guessing no. We disagree. I think there is room. I mean, that guy could pitch 2 innings another start also many weeks, especially early in the year with off days.
  14. Buxton will get some DH time too, even if he is healthy, I'd guess.
  15. Yup...also why the last hitter should be optionable.....seriously.
  16. The statement was there wasn't room to use a guy for more than an innings or two for a particular starter, the order is irrelevant. The names are irrelevant. There is room to have a guy you plan to use when paddaock starts. Whatever you call it.
  17. Have you compared it to other teams? How many shut down guys do they have? How deep are they? I mean, websites that look at every team are quite bullish.... You can't look at this team in a vacuum and compare it to other teams.
  18. Tell that to Tampa.... There is absolutely room to do it.
  19. Agreed. Cantenrio, which I clearly have no idea how to spell. He's got to be on an innings limit. Use those in the majors.
  20. How many lock down arms do you think most teams have? How many have this much depth? I'd guess almost none of them.
  21. How this guy still has a job amazes me. Pisses off fans at ever opportunity, and can't get this team a tv deal.......
