    Imagine thinking after what he did last year, that Julien should be traded.......no team would do that. How could this team even afford to field a team if they traded every player that was good as a rookie?

    Never blame the customers for a business' errors. IMO, of course.

    Any momentum they had for ticket sales was killed by the owners cutting payroll right after winning a playoff series. I anticipate more of the same this off season (it's a feedback loop, cut payroll, lose attendance, have to cut payroll, etc.).

    Disappointing for sure. Needed strong performances from Lopez and Ober the last week. Not how I thought this would go a month ago. Something needs to change.

    Being hot or cold has no correlation to how a team does in the playoffs, oddly. It seems like it should, especially because this is partly about health, but nope.

    Drama to see who advances. More baseball. I'm not convinced that taking division winners does anything most years, other than only one east coast team making it. It's all about hope in more cities. Other than Denver and Chicago, of course

    The playoffs are terrible at telling us who the best team was all year. Truly awful. It's a lot about health, and luck. It's a separate season, that everyone should play in, with massive advantage to the best regular season records. It's all entertainment, and I want more, not less.

    Twins aren't emulating the Rays, though. They have refused to deal Kepler two straight years, which is what the Rays would have done. 100%. I don't see any evidence they are like the Rays at this point.

    I mean, CC is the SS next year, until he's hurt, when Lee / Castro sub for him. Is this even really in doubt (other than the TINY, TINY, chance they deal him)?

    Strong disagree. I'd have even more teams in the playoffs. The goal is for as many fans in as many cities to still care about MLB in September, not to have only 4 cities in each league care. IMO, of course.

    And yet, nearly every other team in contention added players. This isn't a MLB issue at all...... This ownership group isn't interested in winning, that's clear. I agree with the posters above, next year could be bad.
