  1. He can easily get 90 innings in the bullpen. Especially if he pitches 2 innings per game in the minors to start. Easily.
  2. Ha. I don't think that's enough! I want Teel and another great prospect for Lopez straight up, or it's not happening.
  3. I want Preillip in the pen this year. Get value. If he's healthy, he can be stretched out next year. It's not like he's pitching a ton of innings this year
  4. He's either really good next year, and needs to be protected, or he's ok and doesn't. Either way he's likely to be a Twin after next year I won't worry about him, as he was hurt last year. Let's see how he is when healthy.
  5. He can be in the pen this year and stretched out next year. He's been injured forever. Get value while you can.
  6. I vote no, in general. I'd have to be OVERWHELMED to do it. I actually have reconsidered, and think they SHOULD convert him to a starter.
  7. Keaschell is a top 50 prospect on mlb.com, I think. But he's not going to start the year in the majors.
  8. I'd move prielipp to RP for at least this year. If he survives and they want to stretch him out, they can the following year. He's not likely to pitch many innings this year
  9. Maybe Lee, but not anyone else close to the majors
  10. He is subject to the spending limits, due to his age. So, that does matter. However, he knows he's giving up ridiculous money by not waiting two more years, so he's going to want lots of endorsement money. He'll be a dodger
  11. She's a lot closer to my age, shocked you picked her as your example. On topic, I didn't even read this ridiculous post.
  12. Well, then you don't know who the SS is either. Didn't you just make the problem worse?
  13. Do we really think anything Falvey does will dramatically change revenue this year? The TV deal is done. The payroll is going down a bit or a lot. I'm not sure what he could even do to change revenue much this year.
  14. They just signed Lopez, so I'm not sure I'm making that assumption. Nor do I think every bullpen position is internally developed. But, if that is your assumption, then sure. Does any team fill their entire pitching roster from within, and graduate 2-3 good pitchers every year? I seriously doubt that.
  15. My reading of their post was that they wanted that to happen so the team would get more investment....my point was, and I did NOT make it clearly, they can increase revenue all they want this year, they aren't expanding payroll this year. They might or might not next year, but that's likely up to the new owner. So, ya, my bad there. I agree on that last part, I think. I THINK a new owner would be ok with CC being gone, so they could direct the POBO and GM on payroll. OTOH, maybe the new owner is like Cohen (not likely) and is good with spending it all.
  16. 2-3 pitchers every year? Because that's what I was replying to. You can't even fill that many spots...
  17. You think they are investing in the roster? Because that's what chpetti thinks will happen if they increase revenues....that's what I was talking about. It's not happening this year, they are not increasing payroll, and it will drop if they can make it happen.
  18. They literally graduated three guys last year......what are you expecting?
  19. He wants to choose where he ends up. And maybe get a small bump in pay.
  20. Lee has been a professional baseball player for less than three years, and that's too long? Unreal. the other two likely have little to no value. They are backups.
  21. They aren't making major investments this year. They aren't. They are for sale. None of that last paragraph matters to the team this year at all.
