    Truth. Also, funny! We both know this FO won't do that. As badly as Julien has played, he's outhit Farmer by a TON. It isn't close, even.

    In general we agree.....but that first draft hurt the ability to be younger. I'm relatively confident things are better now....but losing McCarthy for a year really hurts.

    Pretty sure the owners said they wanted a competitive rebuild, not a blow up of the team. I mean, I'm with you on Harrison, but not on Cine. Apparently Gaskin is in MN for KO returns, though I'd prefer a younger guy there also, does it really matter at all? They kept those young OLBs on the practice squad, I'd bet good money if they look good they'll play (and there will be injuries). Hall is 2 years younger than Rypien, though I'm guessing age isn't your point there?

    I doubt this article puts any pressure on him. You think Buxton and CC could play if they weren't so comfy? Or what are you saying? Just trying to understand your point.

    He's 5th in fWAR among first baseman. He's clearly not close to replacement level.

    They're less than a year from being in the mid-20s in terms of age. It's not like they are so much older than other teams. I also am dumbfounded that UDFA just randomly come to a team, and the GM has nothing to do with it.....just random I guess.

    You didn't type this part? My theory is players are more concerned about their futures, staying on the field long-term to keep the pay checks coming than they are about the short-term. That sounds like you are saying that these guys could play if they really wanted to. I must have read that part completely wrong. My bad.

    He's been in Minnesota one year, and more than a bit of that time he was hurt. I'm not saying keep him, but he's not Mullens.... He's basically a rookie. I do think this could be about running the scout team

    You think CC is just faking his foot injury? He could just run if he really wanted to?

    Maybe? I mean, ownership and the FO aren't exactly helping ...... CC and Ryan are huge losses to this team. Insurmountable? Maybe? It doesn't help that Lee (CC's best replacement, so Castro can play CF) is also hurt....and that Rodriguez basically missed the entire year, so he's not a Buxton replacement. The refusal to deal for bullpen help, and the NEED to waste Varland's arm in the minors, is really hurting them right now, but I think the bigger issue is CC being gone, and Lewis not hitting.
