concur, but if he believes he is? Also, he's got the keys, go for a spin buddy

I really doubt Antony does anything ridiculous like trade a prospect, on the other hand, we're entering Day 5 and he hasn't really done anything noticeable yet. I would think he does something very soon like call up Berrios, if he wants to signal to ownership that he has different thoughts than Ryan about how to help the team. Thoughts?

But, who will be the individual who selects the person to assemble the committee that will be vetting the search firms? * channeling crarko

Like Barreiro said, the Twins shouldn't be looking for a GM. They should be looking for a vision. Nothing coming out of spring training the past several seasons has screamed vision, but maybe we are finally starting to see it now this past month. It kinda sorta looks like a team right now.

Hey! Remember that game last season at Target Field when the Twins scored six runs in the bottom of the 9th to beat the Tigers? Good times.

We got the sharp grounder, it just happened to go right over the damn third base bag into left. No way for Sano to field it.

Ryan's phone is ringing off the hook about Milone. Unfortunately the tech guy doesn't come to the office til Friday to reroute the voice mail boxes
  14. Hosken Bombo Disco
He heard Sano calling for it, and thought he'd better take it himself?

    yeah, my bad

How about *extending* him mid inning? Antony's first big splashy move--What do you think!?

because unlike 90% of you, I guess I'm not ready for this yet.

Agree with all of the above. I was about to say that the relief pitchers should be promoted, because even if guys like Chargois don't work out right away, one of Ryan's strengths is finding good free-agent bullpen arms.

That is insane. With Shafer doing this and Matt Bush already reinventing himself you wonder if you will see more of this at this level instead of it being just a low minors thing. I know Hicks was always talked about as a guy who might be able to pitch.

I will take it one further, and speculate that Pohlad is just tired of losing, is still a bit embarrassed about the interview he gave Scoggins (total system failure), and just decided that it was time to do something but the only thing to really do was fire Ryan. I bet he now wishes he could undo it.

Maybe you are right. I didn't see the play only heard Molitor's comments. But I'm pretty sure I heard him say Santana was our guy, although he kind of said it in a hedging way.
