    I hate to say this, but I've seen almost the entire game on television, and I have no idea what plays you are talking about, except for maybe a slow grounder up the middle the Dozier didn't pick that would have been an infield hit regardless. I admit I might have missed a play that didn't figure in the scoring however.

    I would also be happy with Centeno if he can improve his ability to keep blocked pitches in front of him. He seems to catch good games and have good at bats.

    On the surface, some combination of Escobar, Sano and Polanco on the left side makes for a weak looking group of fielders, but I've made my peace with the error statistic, and those guys make up for it in other ways, so it doesn't really bother me as much as it bothers the next guy.

    I'm happy limping along with Escobar for another season or two. Going into 2017 my Plan A would be: Sano 3B, Polanco at SS, Escobar as Utility. Plan B if Sano cannot play third: Polanco 3B, Escobar SS What are your thoughts?

    Another note about Tate: He has already been part of a trade. His value has already been maximized by the team that drafted him. For better or worse it's hard to picture the Twins trading a Jay, Stewart, or Gordon or whoever while they are still raw and fairly unknown quantities.

    I agree completely. Mauer would probably not care one way or another for the recognition the HOF would give him (I think that's what I hear you saying) or for the monetary gains that would open up for him. After seeing that JWAR list I think he will have a really strong case and a good chance to make it.

    Minor league free agents like Ramirez, Boshers and Albers seem to be available year-round for virtually nothing. Why not promote more of your harder-throwing drafted guys quicker through the system?
