  1. I'll take the under on Sano stealing 6 bases.........
  2. Just think how many millions of dollars a pitching coach who could consistently teach a pitcher to throw a good change up would be worth......
  3. Velocity is nice, but control is even better. Still, an interesting article, thanks!
  4. I wish the other parts of his game were evaluated, i.e. defense and baserunning. It would give a more balanced look at his true value. People see the B.A. and get all excited, but he's a below average defender and doesn't have good speed.
  5. With this lineup and the prospects to trade if needed, a World series Championship
  6. "The value to a team of a fire-throwing reliever versus a top-of-the-rotation starter can be debated." Uh, no. There is a reason that aces get paid a ton more and get longer contracts than a closer. They are a LOT more valuable.
  7. I would trade Berrios straight up for either Clevinger or Syndergaard.
  8. By what measure? Kershaw 178.1 innings pitched, 145 hits, 41BB, 189K, 1.04 WHIP 3.03 ERA.
  9. Houston - Velander Grienke Berrios Dodgers - Kershaw Buehler Berrios Washington - Scherzer Strasburg Berrios Cleveland - Bieber Clevinger Berrios Mets - deGrom Syndergaard Berrios
  10. Well, that was 50 years ago..... https://www.npr.org/2019/06/18/733809317/how-ohios-cuyahoga-river-came-back-to-life-50-years-after-it-caught-on-fire
  11. Outfield above average, infield below average, catching hopefully average. I'm pretty worried about SS and 2nd base.
  12. That's an interesting take, considering neither one has thrown a single pitch for their respective teams.....
  13. You know what they say when you ASSuME things that you need will be available when you need them...
  14. The problem with waiting is you don't know which teams will be sellers at the deadline. There might not be anyone that would be what you want at that time, and the cost usually is higher at the deadline.
  15. You are counting a lot chickens before they hatch there dude......
  16. Uh, no. If they just get to the playoffs again and lose, it's a failure.
  17. But Cron would have cost nothing but money. Who are you going to trade to get Bell?
  18. In a word, meh. If they sign Moreland or Thames why not just keep Cron?
  19. yeah, i wonder who goes if they somehow get Donaldson. Any guesses?
  20. There is no reason to give Garver or Arraez extensions. None.
  21. My definition of an "impact pitcher" and the FO''s definition differ. A LOT.......
  22. Wes the pitching guru needs to make fixing Romero one of his main projects this spring.
  23. "They basically won 72 games last year (69 pythag) with career years from Anderson, Moncada, and Giolito that could all see some regression" Well, the Twins had career years from Polanco, Kepler, Sano, Garver and although injury shortened, Buxton. You don't think any on them regress? I wouldn't be shocked to see Grandal have a higher WAR than Garver this year...
