    The Twins are a big loser in this missed opportunity to sign Darvish. With 3 teams rebuilding next year Darvish would have given the Twins the opportunity to go deep into the playoffs. The Twins could have taken a huge step to control their own destiny, instead they decided to lay up and hope for the best. Lynn, Cobb and especially Arrieta are not going to be worth anywhere near what they will get. The Twins only chance is to now trade for Archer and the only way to do that will decimate the farm system. Words can not describe the disappoint that the Twins front office has decided to let this opportunity pass them by.

    If Darvish won't sign w the Twins I wouldn't want any starting pitcher. Would rather roll w Gonslaves or Romero or Pinada at mid season and hope the bullpen can carry the 1st part of the season

    I don't think that us signing Reed doesn't mean we can't sign Dervish. We could back load or mid load the contract for instance

    The 2006 home run in game 2 of the playoffs....I was there. Will never forget it. How the crowd energy could be felt..and the HR off of Zuyma. I seem to recall that Hunter and Cuddyer struck out b4 Morneau hit.

    I think if the Twins want to go deeper in the playoffs they will need to do better then Tillman as a starting pitcher. I like Chatswood or Lynn. Pipe dream would be Yu Dervish but I don't see that happening.

    Sorry, if the Yankees sweep the Blue Jays and Houston sweeps Boston. It's should not be a forgone conclusion that the Twins one game playoff will be in the Bronx.

    If the Yankees sweep the Bosox this wknd the Yankees and Bosox would then have the same record and would need a one game playoff. The twins would play the loser. Not likely to happen but it would be best case scenario for the Twins and is fun to think about.

    Rooker looks like he has a lot of swing and miss stuff with tremendous power. Is there any reason we should think his career path won't resemble Adam Walker?

    I was at the FT Myers game. The bat boy was drilled in the head by a line drive. Does anybody know if he is okay? It was a really scary moment. Other then the game winning hit, Tebow got the most cheers. I was surprised by that.

    This pry isn't fair, but with 2 on and 1 out, Sano strikes out on 3 pitches, 2 which were not strikes. Next inning, Adam Jones hits a 3 run HR with 2 outs. Sano didn't get a cookie, but that moment changed the games momentum in a HUGE way

    I am glad the twins won, but more than that very very happy for Joe. I can't recall ever seeing him that excited or grinning that much. Go Joe!

    Umm...guys...Santana isn't on the roster at the expense of Park. The 13 pitchers are what got Park sent to AAA. The bench cannot be Park Grossman and Gimenez. Who would back up the in field? I guess you could say that Grossman made the team at Parks expense but that wouldn't necessarily be true either as Park pry plays outfield worse then Grossman. It really is the xtra pitcher-Haley that cost Park.

    I was at the game in May 2009 that Cuddyer hit for cycle. It was against the Brewers, I don't remember the score but i think we were winning easily, and I was begging for triple when Cuddyer came up and when he hit down the third base line I knew he was not stopping at 2nd.my friend that I was with was a die hard brewers fan, which made it a little sweeter for me.

    Only 2 of the runs Stewart gave up were earned. His defense did little to help him out, which is what happens when you walk a lot of guys.

    I don't understand why people think that the Twins would want Kolton Wong. With all the options the Twins have I can't understand why they would want Wong.
